Amazon Announces FBA Fee Changes

Amazon has announced new seller fees for FBA that will take effect on February 18th, citing increased transportation as the reason for the increase.

While there is an additional $.05 increase per pound, going up from $.37 to $.42 per pound. Amazon will introduce new size tiers and rates, which on a positive note, will cost less for some items.

They will also be introducing a returns fee, which is the equivalent to the fulfillment fees for an individually shipped unit. This can be a huge burden on sellers as Amazon A-Z guarantee allows returns for virtually any reason, and some categories, such as clothing have an inherent high rate of return.

Let us know how these changes will impact your business in the coming weeks and months!
