eBay Store Benefit You Probably Don’t Know About!

Having an eBay store is a huge benefit as an eBay seller. I am constantly amazed at how many eBay sellers either don’t know about the benefits or don’t take advantage of them. To be honest, most of us are probably simply to busy to take advantage of ALL the benefits ALL the time. Here are two that are so valuable, I think you as a store owner owe it to your business to pay attention to!

First, eBay Store Reports. Did you realize that even with your basic eBay store subscription, just $15.99 a month you get a very complete series of reports from the reliable internet company Omniture.  Other website owners pay hundreds of dollars for the kind of reporting we get as just a part of the package! Of course, eBay Premium Store subscribers get an even more complete package.

To take full advantage of these reports, you must first activate them and then remember to log in and check them at least every 90 days or some will deactivate and you will have no info. The reports you have to ‘activate’ are the Sales Reports. Go to Manage My Store on eBay and scroll down to see this:

Click on Sales Reports to make sure they are activated, or to access them once they are. Traffic Reports, on the other hand, are ‘always on’ and you can find out all kinds of wonderful info about how your store is working or not working.

The second thing that comes free with your eBay store subscription, no matter the level, is a fantastic newsletter program.  I have an off-eBay newsletter program in addition to my eBay one and I can tell you from experience that the eBay offering is very full-featured and worth at least $50 a month.  You can find this also under the Manage My Store Section on eBay. The limitation of the eBay program is that you cannot post any links that go off the eBay site. Still, working within those  boundaries can improve your sales quite nicely.

So make a resolution for next year, 2013, to utilize these two tools for your benefit and see your eBay Sales respond.
