Use the Event Catalog or Import Files to Enter Ticket Information without Typing
To save time creating listings, you can use the Event Catalog to pre-fill most of your ticket information automatically. Alternatively, if you have a spreadsheet of inventory, you can import your listings into Tickets Manager to get started faster.

How to Use the Event Catalog to Create Listings
Instead of manually entering your ticket information, you can pre-fill these details instantly with the Event Catalog, which is located in the left navigation bar of the Edit Ticket Information page.

Note that after you add an item to your list, you can still edit the information for that item by using the action icons located in the edit bar. Learn more about the action icons.

How to Import Listings from a .CSV or .TXT File
In order to import your ticket information into Tickets Manager, please make sure your import file is formatted according to the following specifications:

  1. Your file must end in a .txt or in a .csv extension.
  2. If your file ends in a .txt extension, it must be tab-delimited. This means that there are tabs separating each column of data in the file, and there are no tabs used anywhere else in the file.
  3. If your file ends in a .csv extension, it must be comma-delimited. This means that there are tabs separating each column of data in the file, and there are no tabs used anywhere else in the file.
  4. The data in your file must be organized in rows and columns. Each row must contain the following columns of data, in this order:
    1. Event
    2. Venue
    3. EventDate
    4. EventTime
    5. Quantity
    6. Section
    7. Row
    8. SeatFrom
    9. SeatThru
    10. Notes
    11. Cost
    12. Ticket ID
  5. A header row containing the column headings may be included in this file, but is not required. Excluding a possible header row, your file cannot exceed 100 rows, since that is the current maximum capacity of the importer.
  6. Each column should contain the following information, formatted as follows (note that blank columns are allowed):

When importing your ticket information from an import file, follow these steps:
  1. Make sure you are logged in and click the Sales Manager tab.
  2. In the left navigation bar, click on Sell Tickets.
  3. On the Edit Ticket Information page, click the 'Browse' button to locate your file on your hard drive.
  4. Make sure that the appropriate listing profile to apply to each of the tickets in the file is selected. Use the drop-down list to find the correct listing profile.
  5. Click on the 'Import options' link to make sure that the system will process your file correctly:
    1. Select which character (comma, tab, semi-colon or space) is being used in your file to separate the columns.
    2. If your file has a header row of column headings, click the checkbox for 'Ignore header line' so that this row will not be interpreted as ticket data.
    3. If your file has a column in front of the 'Event' column (some POS systems export a file with an 'Edit' column as the first column), click the checkbox for 'Ignore first column' so that this column will not be interpreted as your Event name data.
  6. Click the 'Import' button when ready to begin your import.
