Here is my experience with this online auction. On August 31, I won a bid for a wireless phone jack. On Sept 20, I sent the following email to them: "Please let me know when I may receive the wireless phone jack that I won last month. Thank you."I received no reply. On Sept 26, I sent the following email: "I won a bid early in September for a GE wireless phone jack. I have not yet received the merchandise. Please advise." I received no reply. On Sept 29, I sent the following email to them: "I won an auction about three weeks ago for a wireless phone jack system. I have not received the merchandise, nor have I received a reply to any previous inquiry. If the item is charged to my credit card, I will not pay. All I want is an answer as to the status of this bid. My number is 143202, my name is Gwen Harshfield. Please let me know what is going on.

If I don't hear from you in 24 hours, I will post all four emails on the net, along with an explanation of the circumstances. This was and will remain the only auction I have won through your service."

This time I received a reply. "Please note that delivery time varies for each product and is
indicated on the product description page on our website.
Please note that it is working days. You will also receive
by email a tracking number as soon as your order is
shipped to you.

Kind Regards,
Customer Service"

Today, I sent this final email as I received the charge for this on September 5.... "Please note that the delivery time stated for this product ( up to 21 days) has long past, and I have yet to receive my merchandise. My credit card was charged on September 5, 2000. Today's date is October 4, 2000. I would appreciate a reply that takes longer than 15 seconds to send. You may need to do some research into where in the hell my merchandise is."

Has anyone else had a problem with this vendor? Any advise?

Yes, unfortunately we had the same problem. We won an auction in mid-August and have just received (on Monday) a notification of shipment. You can call them at the toll free number listed on their home page but they are completely rude. The only reason that this item shipped is because I threatened a credit card chargeback and I believe my CC was in contact with them...then they decided to ship. They also told me that they may take up to 30 business days to ship the item. OK, that may be the state law, but their auction clearly states 5-10 days, not 30 days. I would suggest calling them and telling them that you will be charging back the amount (if you do not want the item). That should get them to ship it. PLEASE be aware that you have ONLY 60 DAYS from the date of your credit card statement where the carge appears to dispute the charge. After that, the CC company cannot help you. You will have to take them to court to recover the funds. Good luck!

I would suggest calling your local Attorney General's office. They can steer you in the right direction. Our local office, Ohio, has helped me a lot. You also may be able to contact the AG office in the vendor's state. Sometimes filing a "public" complaint works wonders! Three cheers to Betty Montgomery, Ohio's Attorney General!!

I too am having a problem with auction-sales. They just refuse to answer my MANY e-mails to customer service. After a month with no response, they sent me a notice on 10-5-00 that it would ship on Monday, AT THE LATEST. Monday through Friday came and nothing. I reported them to the National Fraud Information Center and the Federal Trade Commission. Then I began to contact their advertisers advising them of the lack of concern for customers on the auction-sales site. One advertiser has already responded that they are pulling their advertisement from the site and will no longer have the auction-sales banner on theirs. I am in the process of disputing the charge on my card, account # 143623. BUYER BEWARE, for sure!

Theyn sent me the same email, and I still haven't heard anything. I too filed a complaint at the internet fraud center. I also sent them yet another email asking what happened to the Monday deal. As always, no response...... I too am not paying the charge on my credit card. I am sending a copy of my many attempts to contact them as my proof of non receipt of goods. I am going to report them to the AG as well. Hope they appreciate all the attention. I don't get mad, I get even.

Here is the final email received from Auction Sales.com after I stopped payment on the credit card and after I filed complaint with IFCC. Remember the auction was held in AUGUST! And, my answer to them. Does anyone know what my legal liabilities are if I receive this item?

You really must be kidding. Read the emails below. I filed a complaint
with the Internet Fraud division of the FBI last month, and filed a claim
against you with the credit card company as well. Monday came and went as
stated in your last email. That was October 11. Today is November 27.
Ship it and try to get payment from me. I wanted it in August!

Sincerely,
Gwen Harshfield

I shwo your merchandise is scheduled to ship out on Monday at the very
latest.
Please note that you will be notified by email with a tracking number when
it ships.
Thank You,

I have had all the same problems described by other people. After 2 months, and lots of phone calls & E-mail sent, I had not received my purchase. I finally got to talk to a live person 3 weeks ago & she (Heather) promised a refund in 1 week. No refund received to date. Anybody want to help me break their necks? My purchase was a $700.00 Christmas gift for my wife.
