O.K. so most of you love the service. I've been thinking of coming back(left when they started charging). What service plan do most of you use? I only list 30-50 items a week and haven't decided if I am going to jump right in or use try the service with a few auctions while using my current program(which I love, but it has no way to schedule a start time). I have a two week free trial going right now until I need to choose.

I've been using AW since the beginning and like it just fine. Mostly I hate change so I stay. All kidding aside, they do provide a great service for a reasonable cost.

Ranchoweb, $5 a month for 6 megs. Has reliable launches, thumbnails and WebTV compatible. Also I can upload 20 pics at a time, very happy with their service. I keep AW acct open as a backup.

Hello
AW gets my vote as well. I have used it for years. The two big things I use are multiple pictures and scheduling (pending) auctions. I used to look at counters etc but not anymore. I save pictures and write-ups for a year on my computer as well. I wish I could file a non sold auction on AW and be able to retrieve it in 3-6 months and relist but either I don’t know how or that is not available. Any comments on the last?
Kind Regards to all
Dave

There is nothing that AW offers that you can't find elsewhere on the web cheaper.

I haven't used them since they started charging. I am a happy AUCTION TAMER user.

I design and manufacture my items, and then sell one each of my products every 2 or 4 weeks. I like AW because I can make a listing for that item and then re-launch my growing list of auctions very easily.

I don't like the picture service. My pictures come out not very clear. I have only one picture on AW that says "Thank yoy for looking," that I put in all my auctions to trigger the camera (picture) symbol. I keep all my pictures on AOL and put them in the body of my listings.

Since I repeat my auctions, some for over a year now, AW is very convenient. All my auctions launch at about the same time. This allows me to decide when they will end. I like this because I feel items in my hobby definitely do better ending at certain times. In addition, this means I will be available to do my End of Auction messages right away and all at once. Lastly, it allows my loyal, repeat customers to get ready to bid on items of mine that they don't have, yet (I sell exclusively on Ebay).

The Ebay/Paypal/Auctionwatch trio work great for me as a seller. Between them, I average about 8-9% fees. My parents own a pet store. All of us kids worked there while we grew up. Since that meant cleaning up the poop in the kennel the first few months, I did the books and payroll instead. The costs associated with a B&M store are huge.

For me, 10% is the magic number. If my costs go over that, I will start cutting back on services.

I asked the question because several folks were griping about Ebay 2.0...so it made me think that THEY just used AUCTION WATCH FOR THE THREAD??..I did like AUCTION WATCH and hope to be able to return in the future..but when the program crashes time and time again and you are trying to list 1000 + auctions weekly....then, we had to move on...we have revamped our auction stradegy and using more 5 day auctions...so we might be able to return to AW and list fewer auctions...WE USED TO RUN 1200 AVERAGE WEEKLY through AW...AND AS images accumulated...the slower the program opened and the riskier the creating of auctions were..IE: IT WOULD CRASH...BLUE LIGHT......OF COURSE, WE VOICED ALL THESE CONCERNS 6 months ago...NOTHING helped...SO..I AM CONVINCED...THEY WILL GET THE KINKS OUT OF THE SYSTEM...UNTIL THEN...SELLER'S ASSISTANT IS WORKING WELL FOR US!!!..GOOD LUCK TO US ALL !!!
