Before I head off to the PO and raise some cain, a Saturday Postal worker refused to mail my long triangle box with Endicia Postage on it from my home Saturday. During the week I always put my packages out on the community mail box and my regular postman just sends them out for me, no problem.

Saturday I had a different postman and he refused to ship my package with the endicia postage BECAUSE one side of the box says Express Mail, and one side says Priority Mail. Go figure, I'd never even paid any attention to it, this must be a way the PO saves money? Anyway, my Endicia Priority Mail postage was put on the Express mail side instead of the Priority Mail side.

Anybody run across this one?

I have. Recently had a new carrier refuse to pickup a small priority package. I took it into the PO the next day & complained. I asked what the restrictions were on items placed in my mail box. Was told the carrier was to pickup any & all packages with postage on them, not to excede 70 pounds.

With the triangular boxes, the postage & mailing address should be on the appropriate delivery choice, "IE" either Proirity or Express. It isn't up to the carriers judgement what packages to pickup.

Once I suggested the carrier be advised of these Post Office regulations, I haven't had a problem.

Just slap some priority stickers over where is says express mail. Thats what I usualy do because the express side is bigger and the labels fit better.

>>the express side is bigger and the labels >>fit better

EXACTLY! I have never even NOTICED that the boxes said Express Mail believe it or not!

So if it has Priority Mail and Express Mail all on the same box and you put a priority mail postage stamp on it you would think they could figure it out. And evidently they have been doing so because that's the first time I've ever heard anything about it. Probably just a poor postal guy going postal and showing his authority, bless his heart.

At least you have Saturday service. We went about 4 Saturdays in a row without mail delivery. We called the PO and they said the carrier was new and didn't know the entire route and that we would just have to live with it. Well, then one weekday, no service. Wife called the PO and again the postmaster was very rude and said we would just have to live with it. I called the PO and talked to someone else and he explained once again, new carrier who was told that if he didn't get finished by 5PM to come back to the PO without delivering all the mail.
