I was slow on sending end of auction notices.
So, a person who won 3 of my items, sent 3 different payments with the shipping 3x through PayPal.

I put how much shipping is in each auction. But I can combine shipping, this way he is paying almost $12 for shipping. (When combined it will be about $5.50-$6.00)

Another one won, but has a current high bid on something that ends tommorow, could have waited and combined that one too.

I just started back at this, after a few months off. I used to refund any excess amounts, like what the guy did above...

But, I really get tired of it...

Am I wrong here, just take the 'extra' they sent?

(I really shouldn't #*!@ at all, since they paid so fast! )

If it were me, I would refund them the extra shipping less the extra paypal fees incurred through separate payments. They'd probably be pretty pleased with that, and you won't be out the fees.

Keep a buck or two to cover your handling fee and the extra paypal fees for the extra amount... and then enclose the refund as cash with the package. There is nothing better than receiving cash with your ebay purchase!

The only way you can pay for auctions through paypal is to pay them separately so that is what your buyer did. He was prompt in paying so I would be as prompt in refunding the amount you want so that his auctions can be combined. I do that all the time and it takes no time at all. What I do is send one refund for all auctions through non auction goods.
I have now added in the information box. "If you wish to pay instantly by paypal, and you are not combining auctions, click the logo on the auction page but please remember to add the postage. This might stop the buyer from paying for each auction. I am going to give it a try and see what happens.

If you write in your auction description that you will combine s/h on multiple auction wins and the buyer sends the money anyway then it is tempting to keep the money. Same thing with buyers sending the same PP payment over and over again. As Jimminy Cricket use to say Let your conscience by your guide.
