Mine are all messed up.
I checked and they are supposed to be in alphabetical order (my OC side) but are just all mixed up. When I go to the manage my store area, it shows that they are in alpha order but when I visit the store, its not.

Anyone else?

Beth

Mine are messed up, too. My store was fine yesterday. Now, the links for my new design don't work and I had to go in and change my store back to the default. WHAT THE HECK ARE YOU DOING NOW, EBAY???????????

On the eBay Stores board you will see a lot of chatter about this problem. It's been going on for almost three days now. eBay is once again enhancing us. They are upping the categories to 300! 300? Who the heck needs 300 categories? Talk about overkill. If you have a custom store, it will no longer work right now because there's a BUG (ya, right) in eBay's system. What appears to be happening is that they are renaming the URLS. What a stupid, stupid, stupid thing to do. Instead of renaming the existing URLS, all they need to do is create new ones for the new categories. Even I know that. So, if you have custom links to your store in your listings, they will all be wrong. In the meantime, if you have a custom store, go back to eBay's default for the time being. Your categories will still be a jumbled mess, but that's the best that can be offered for now.

Almost three days of lost sales and do you think they're going to compensate any of us??? Hah. Not one announcement has come from eBay regarding what they were doing and how it might affect eBay stores. Or, maybe they forgot? How about when eBay goes to take my fee out of my checking account, I just forget to tell them that I've changed banks? They'd shut me down. We've over a barrel folks.

I'd love 300 categories. I use ebay categories instead of store categories in my store which would work great if it would initially show an expanded view of the sub-categories. It doesn't. People see one big category of Postcards and don't realize they can drill down to their state

As I stated in another posting eBay does know about the problem. I talked to them last night it seems that they are screwing around (and I do mean screwing which is all there IT people ever do) with the categories for the new upgrade to 300 and that is what is causing the mess up. This upgrade is going to happen very soon.

I am amazed that so few of you know that when something is working well on e-Bay, they are determined to up-grade it, and screw it all up. This rule/action is written in stone regarding e-Bay.

I lost my store specials and shipping instructions. That explains why I have had any sales for the past few days. I see that my info is there in the file but not posting on the page. Lovely. thanks Ebay for making it harder to make a living on your site.

Why do they keep doing these so called enhancements to us?

supposedly eBorg rolled the code back about an hour ago to correct the store categories nightmare. my stuff is all back to normal except for, can't get rid of their ugly left nav bar stuck on top of mine. but at least the URL's to store categories are correct again, both within eBorg and from my web site.

eBorg !!!!!!!

I love it!

Wish I had PHOTO SHOP so I could do a MORPH of MEG as HIVE QUEEN!

Yeah, finally my STORE is back to normal...BUT, my FONTS are still all FUBAR and my listings look STUPID; they look as if they were designed by the WHITE HOUSE dept in charge of PORT PR!

Thanks everybody. Here is a new wrinkle. My cross-promotions are based on old categories. Seems that when I updated them, the old ones stuck like glue. So, when viewing a black americana ad or article you get cross promoted to gingerale ads.

Fun stuff. 300 categories! Yipes.

My cross promotions are messed up too, I have them based on eBay category, not store category.

Mine are a mess too - showing highest priced from many different categories - nothing to do with the item for sale.

Just when I was thinking I might try opening a store again, as are many other sellers.

Count on eBlunder to kill a lot of potential new business.
