I've signed up for the free trial with Sellathon but, as usual, the technical aspects have me stumped. They say to click the button to copy the code. Done. They say to go into an existing auction, description box, and right click the code into it. Doesn't work. Do you have any clues?

I remember now that a couple of years ago I signed up with them for a couple of months and had the same trouble getting the code into my auctions. I hate that I'm so technically deficient and can't seem to get some things right.

After you RIGHT CLICK, you then have to hit PASTE to put the stuff copied to yer CLIPBOARD where you want it...this manover is called: COPY & PASTE

Not to be confused with: CUT & PASTE!

Thanks Tom. Ignorant question #2: I don't use something technically called a "clipboard." I usually paste things in WordPerfect for keeping or for printing. Is this the same thing?

Yes, Word Perfect should be just fine. Just somewhere you can stick it (and no not back there) until you need it so you don't have to go to their site and get it every time you need it to put in a listing.

As far as making the Sellathon work, I have not had a chance to try sticking the code in my listing's yet. From what I gather all you should have to do is copy that huge block of html code and paste it into your listing's. If I get a chance this week I'm going to stick it in a couple of store listing's using ebay's revise, I'll just copy/paste it into the description html code and see if it works.

Thanks, Mike, so far so good. But WHERE in my listings? I have a bunch of current listings. Do I go in, revise them, add the code into the description box (and if so, where in the box, does it matter?). And can I put that code also into a custom listing box in Vendio so I can include it in all my listings? Or where else? Surely not in every auction, manually?! I'm so tense about this. . . . time to sleep on it, I guess.

Like I said, I have not had a chance to try it out yet. I'm not sure if it matters where in the code it goes, I am kind of wondering about that myself. I was just going to try sticking it at the end in one listing and see what it did. If it does not screw up the listing I'll try a few more.

As far as puting it into all listing's, new ones would be a breeze, it can just be added in the listing's when they are created. As for currently running listing's I guess the easiest way would be to use ebay's bulk reviser program, it's free unlike vendio reviser.

Hey, it finally worked! I got clearer directions from somebody even smarter at Sellathon. I added the code at the very end of the description listing box and it now shows up in Sellathon.

But. . . I remember that we could track how people came to our auction by keywords. I see nowhere now in Sellathon where I can opt to do that, and that was the most valuable feature a couple of years ago when I signed on with them for a few months.
