Well, my sales have hit the wall. It is absolutely horrible. I haven't seen it this bad for some time. How is everyone else doing?

February (knock on wood) so far has been my best month since August. I have relisted many items that didn't sell when search was screwed up with good success,

Verrrry slow for me, but since last night the hits at least have picked up. The last couple of weeks of January were awful.

hi Paloma,
congrats on your website. I have my user ID registered for a website but nothing has happened. My son works for Disney on one of their websites but I can't seem to get him for alone time to help me. I think that I should just take a class or find a WEBSITE FOR DUMMIES book.

I am very very grateful to be able to say this... January was the best month I have had in years and years on ebay. Feb is rolling right along as well.

I am taking a website HTML class at our community college. I MUST get this done. I have said it for YEARS!!!! enough Bull---- talk! Action its time for action. Because as good as the start of the year has been for me:

#1 it could be better
#2 summer is coming
#3 I need the money

It's not bad. Usually during late winter months I run things that people can actually use (and justify buying) in home remodeling, and whatever else they do when they can't work outside. So I always run lots of lighting and sometimes textiles/drapes, frames, mirrors, etc. A garden item or two sometimes works well also. I find that ganging like items improve sales as well (even if they don't buy more than one thing).

I haven't sold anything on ebay for two weeks now. Then again I haven't had anything listed either. Ever since I began selling on Ebay, the three weeks directly after Christmas are some of the best weeks of the year. However after that is usually the worst time of the year right up to tax day in April.

Since eBay decided they needed to stick it to their sellers again, I decided not to take any more chances on the traditional slow periods. From now on it's the traditional buying seasons and reduced listing days for me. No more slow periods, period!

Well, the results are in from the last two eBay UK 10p list days and they are great! Achieved around 75+% sell through on all my various listings (so I must have priced most of them right) and most of the sales were to Europe so they paid by bank transfer (no pesky PayPal fees). Two unpaid bidders that I have forwarded to eBay via UIDs - both wanted to use PayPal and that they "only buy that way". If they'd read my auction terms they would have noticed that I don't accept it. Oh well!

Sales are fantastic, best they have ever been in my many years on eBay. They took off on January 1 and haven't slowed down. I even raised my prices substantially and that didn't have a damping effect. If this is what comes of taking December off, I'll be doing it this year, too.

I just gave myself a 20% raise for all my hard work.

I have learned so many valuable things in the last five weeks.

Ebay auctions - slow. Ebay store - good.
January was pretty good for both.
