Got something in my e-mail saying PayPal wants me to take a short survey and they'll give me $5 for it--just click on the link, etc. etc. No hint that I could go directly to PayPal if I'm concerned, so I'm guessing it's a scam. If not, PayPal has goofed royally in this presentation. Anyone else get this?

yes, i received the same email, I deleted it because usually paypal tells you to go sign into your account.

I don't think they put a clickable link in the email. If I'm wrong thats ok, I'm just staying on the safe side.

Tonimar--there's at least one clickable link in my message about the survey. Tom, I don't have Outlook Express and don't know how to find the header information.

Meanwhile, I've gotten a crazy-sounding reply from PayPal, to whom I sent a message asking if the survey thing is a scam and if it is NOT, would they please not put clickable links in our e-mail. Their reply didn't really address the issue. (So what else is new.)

And I've sent it to [email protected] and they are "investigating" it. I'm ignoring the survey e-mail for now and will delete it when I'm through dealing with all this!

Tommie-boy: I've figured out by myself! how to get the headers but have no idea what they mean. It's a lot of gobbledygook to me. Can you tell me what to look for?

Copy and paste them here.

Stone: This is very odd! Last night I could "copy" the headers but then was afraid to do anything with the. Today I can get all the headers to show but am unable to copy them. The "copying" just doesn't take.

Do you think I could right click and copy the location and put it here? I'm so afraid of handling this message in some way that will let the scammers (if that's what's going on) have personal information.
