eBay's new search experience?!? Is any one else gettings the stupid looking search result pages?

I sure hope this doesn't become the standard default.

Luckily there is a hard-to-notice opt-out link at the bottom of the page.

I get it whenever I search & have no idea what "experience" they are looking for.

I haven't opted out.

McJane - OPT OUT unless you like it! Ebay will decide that since you kept it, you LIKED it. It never will occur to them that people can't find the "opt out" button!

I am not in the search group but when I followed a link provided by someone who is, I got the trial search format. Type whatever you want in the search box to see how your items could be displayed (note no "advanced search" link):
http://shop.ebay.com/items/MADISON-SQUARE-GARDEN-POSTCARD_W0QQ_nkwZMADISONQ20SQ51UAREQ20GARDENQ20POSTCARD

Here is how "sellers other items" look (note no link to store). Type your user name in the url to see your items:

I also discovered that the new search, while it shows SOME of the store items does not provide a link to see ALL of them (the sort says "ending soonest" but it looks lowest to highest to me):

Neg, I went to the links you provided and did other searches. I found one thing with that new search page-firefoxs ebay toolbar that shows images for your search results instead of the little camera icon only shows the little camera icon-- NOW we know what ebay plans to do with the neatest firefox tool to stop its usefulness and make ppl still pay for gallery image.JERKS Hope they don't change I do NOT like the new search.

Wish ebay would just leave well enough alone. Well I mean stop fixing unbroke things.

Nope, don't like it at all. Bet we don't have much of a choice what buyers see. I know we can opt out but will they know how to or even if they should?

Thanks for the links neglus. Isn't that page what ebay express looks like?

This is not good at all. The page title says "Best Matches for...". They are not showing all items, plus you have to choose a category to look at. There is no place on the page to view all items. And the first items displayed all have gallery pics.

What I am seeing is horribly similar to the eBay Express search pages...which I found so difficult to work with, I just gave up completely months ago.

Very unfriendly for both sellers and buyers.

There's something useful in those screen shots.

The old experience is search.ebay.com.

The new is shop.ebay.com.

So do a search (any search) the regular way, then when you get the results change the word "search" in the URL to "shop" and hit return.

You'll probably get a nonsense entry, but now you can use this page to "experience" the new search "experience".

I have to agree with those who think the new experience is useless. You only get to see a few items and their gallery pix. Most sellers take lousy gallery pictures, so the overall effect is less than impressive.
