If you have a Vendio Store...
are you happy with it?
do you make sales from it?
is it worth your time and effort?
which plan do you use?
Thanks for your answers

Not to highjack your thread, which I guess I am, but what has your experience been with Ruby Lane? Only asking since I know you had opened one, and curious if you're now looking at vendio as well?

I use to get sales when i used the Checkout redirect. But the customers hate Vendio checkout redirect.

Even with the exposure they are giving it(google) seems to me that I got sales from e-bay checkout only. Others may have more experience on this subject than me. though.

I have had a vendio store for a long time. It comes free with my listing plan. I am happy with it and sales seem to ebb and flow. I have had quite a bit this month. Of total sales on all my sites, I would say that the vendio store is 15%-20% on average.

I have over 10,000 ads in my store and do think it is worth the time. We keep hearing promises of things to come with vendio stores so I guess I will wait and see.

I like the vendio store but do not use checkout redirect because if you use the redirect, then there is a problem combining sales on eBay. However, the stores qualify for the two click rule and anyone who enlarges my pictures gets a shot at moving over to the vendio store. Since vendio does that for me I have to guess it is legal.

I went to a Google Ad Word seminar and found out that if you have a vendio store you will be disadvantaged over stand alone stores in search results because what is coming up is vendio not your domain name. Also, you should not have your ebay items in your vendio store. You will have good results with specific searchs on google and broad searches on yahoo...don't ask me why.

I send a flyer with every ebay purchase about my store. Also, I have established clients who shop my store.

I also have a store on ecrater just for soda industry ads. It is free and caters to a select group of my collectors.

Might check the vendio store board for other opinions.

Thanks for the honest and helpful information.I have just switched to the Vendio Inventory edition of sales manager. I desperately needed to clean up my act and get some order into this process. It has been a real effort and a lot of hours but I'm closing in on "order"
I do have a Ruby Lane site, opened in June of 07. So far I have been very pleased with the sales. I am trying to get the number of listings in there up to 500 by the end of this winter.Like all sites the more I add,the more exposure I have, the more I sell. The money for items is on average better than ebay. No haggling just set the price you want. I also have had VERY nice clients. I am glad I finally moved off the dime and opened a shop there. If anyone is thinking of opening a shop with Ruby Lane I would be happy to converse through email with you. The invoicing system took awhile to master... it is "theirs alone".
