A friend's mom bought some prints that were supposedly Currier & Ives. Knowing that family histories sometimes vary significantly from reality, did some research. From this, I've found that they are NOT Currier & Ives BUT prints/illustrations done in the Currier & Ives styles. From one source, I was told that frequently art schools had their students copy C & I works. These prints appear to be of that genre AND were probably plates used in books. Some of them still have the small marks/lines in the corners that indicated printing placement. These can be seen in the lower parts of both photos. I have also been told that these are most likely "period" and contemporary with original C & I works. My question...What category would be best to list these in? Also, any suggestions as to how to title them? I hesitate to use the words "Currier & Ives" as I don't want to get into trouble with VERO. Would "Currier & Ives Style" be OK? Appreciate any help/suggestions. I'm including a couple of photos...

What about:

NY Farm House Art Currier & Ives Pub
or
NY Nassau Farm House Art Pub by Currier & Ives

then indicate that these were published by Currier & Ives (as noted on your scan).
