With Hurricane season officially starting June 1st. I looked at the list of names for this year:

Arthur Bertha Cristobal Dolly Edouard Fay Gustav Hanna

Ike Josephine Kyle Laura Marco Nana Omar Paloma

Rene Sally Teddy Vicky Wilfred



I hope the storms are not as ugly as their names1

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

My grandmother was named Josephine.

I have a niece named Fay.

Hanna (Hannah) is my Bible name.

I once had a kitty named Bertha.

I think Paloma is a beautiful name.

Nana is one of my favorite books. Not to mention that it is a beautiful nickname for millions of beloved grandmas.

they must just put a buncha names in a hat and draw them out.

Dolly a Hurricane??
Nana a hurricane, gosh that will skeer children. Nana is perfect in the eyes of children .

I did not realize Nana was a real name -- I thought it was like mamaw

Dolly is a sweet name, not a hurricane name

Bertha- excuse me that name is just not one I like

There are ugly names, my sister & I have two of them. Her name is Myrtle & mine is so bad I use my middle name which is Jane.
My sister does not have a middle name to fall back on, so she's stuck with Myrt.

Here's one, Agatha (not too bad) but what makes this one worse is how the Mother wants it pronounced. ah GATH ah
