I sold something 11 days ago. I think the bidder has purchased this from me before because it was obvious they were buying this to resell locally. Almost all of their ebay purchases are for similar consumable items.

I remember them being a slow payer. Their feedback is perfect, and in the 2000's. Sellers constantly leave positive feedback, even though I know they pay them very slowly as well.

I filed the dispute on the 8th day in hopes of jarring their memory.

You have ebay pushing sellers to ship items within a day or two. The balance of power is so out of wack on ebay it is unreal.

I don't ever leave feedback until I get feedback... b/c the feedback rate is maybe 20-25% of the number of items I have sold. I have it all automated through Vendio anyways.

I thought of leaving them feedback (after they have done so) with a comment like, "Very Slow Payment eventually arrived. No communication after auction ended." Though it can't be negative, it is honest and straightforward... perhaps too much.

I should add... sellers shouldn't be expected to ship items within a day or two when the buyer can take weeks to pay.

What if I go on vacation two weeks after the auction ends, and then the bidder decides to pay? Why should I get punished for slow shipment DSRs, or complaints filed against my account b/c of it. Not that it has happened, but it does shed some light on how backwards ebay can be about it.

Since ALL buyers have 100% feedback, why would you even bother checking it all? Any neg feedback will only show up if your buyer is also a seller.

i figured it would at the very least give other sellers a heads up and perhaps nudge this buyer to start being more responsible. It is frustrating waiting for a considerable payment, no replies to emails, nothing. the thing is that they will likely pay for it, but it is a matter of when.

Not that I would ever do something like this... but I wonder what they would think if after they make payment I didn't ship it for a few weeks, ignored a few emails, and then finally got around to shipping it to them. I could then follow up with, "I didn't realize you were in such a hurry since it took you a few weeks to pay for it anyways."

You'd just be hurting yourself with an unnecessary neg.

I never sweated getting payments from slow-paying repeat buyers until one of my favorite repeat buyers was later then usual in paying for $260 in postcards. I waited and waited - well past 30 days- then he went NARU with well over 2000 feedback. No, he isn't dead. No, I didn't file NPB against him. Yes, I have learned my lesson and although I'm prone to ship small orders to repeat customers pre-payment, I will file NPB against any large order which is over-due.

Sad but true,we are all resellers, recycling each other's dirty laundry!
It is pretty depressing out there,so many good people lost their jobs and cant find any job!
Came back from Lowe today, none of their check out lines manned by real human is open, only the self checkouts are open and a girl standing there ready to assist and the time is 5-6 pm.
This is not a recession, this is a depression, whether it is the big D,we will soon find out!
I lived thru the early 1980s when interest rate went sky high,I survived the 1987 stock market crash,I was in the south during the early 1990s recession but I have never seen anything like this.
But then we did not have so many mega stores, super stores and so many houses and so many wannabe homeowners who bought and lost their homes!

I get my first response from the bidder on the dispute today:

"I ran into money problems. I can pay on Tuesday if you want to complete this transaction. Let me know."

One issue I have... she has won 1700 auctions in the last 30 days and has won items as recently as yesterday.

shagmidmod - I believe if you leave that FB the buyer could have it removed. Ebay can remove negative comments left as a positive FB.

Ebay doesn't want the buyer to have a bad experience after all..

You may as well complete the transaction now as she has replied to the dispute and if you don't complete, she could leave you a negative.
