Hello All,
I just got two charge backs from pay pal and I need help please,
1. I shipped two watches $112 each to buyer that purchased 2 watches at the same time and he claims he only received one, and Pay pal ruled to his favor even that I proved to Pay pal that I put all my items on scale before shipping theme out and one watch weights less than one pound and this box weight two pounds.
Second charge back $341 watch customer said never received and UPS tracking number showing was delivered, after shipping this watch I was warned by another sellers that this Buyer has done it to him and to be careful, but for me was too late to stop the package from been delivered.
Please advise what should I do, after all the items I sell on e bay I make very little profit maybe not worth-ed for me to continue selling on e bay if they are listening to my side of the story.

For the second watch, how did you ship,is there any signature confirmation?Did you ship to confirmed address?
On the first case, weighing the item is a weak defense, gold bar sellers will take the package unsealed to post office, take a picture of gold with the postal workers .
You can try calling the buyers and let them know you are thinking of calling the local police and filing USPS fraud investigation office.
Did you take out insurance?

On the $341 watch you should have required a signature (according to paypal).
In the future if you ship UPS there is a way to change the delivery address once in route. You could have changed it back to your address. There is a $10 charge for that but it works as I've used it to change an address from a PO to a street address.
As to the 2 watches in one box unless you took it to the post office, you have no way to prove the weight. If you printed the label yourself - you can put anything on the weight. The USPS won't do anything unless it weights more than you said.
Ebay is getting to be very risky for sellers.

certain categories are riskier than others-electronic goods, precious metals, watches are some I can think of.
You need to come up with a better business model if you want to continue selling in these categories.
Sellers of gold coins, high end jewelry ship registered mail, registered mail travels thru the postal system ,they are logged in ,signed by the handler at every station, also they are stored in a special part of the warehouse guarded by security personel.
of course you will still need DC if you ship USPS and signature confirmation to satisfy Paypal seller protection .
On the 2 watches which the buyer claimed he only received one,you can always ship each separate.

yes, they are the same seller. i remember this quite well.

have you called paypal? if not, do so. tell them you most definately packaged both watches. i would have this escalated to a supervisor and then ask them how are you supposed to prevent these types of chargebacks from happening if buyers are committing fraud. get as much feedback from paypal.

the problem is that all sellers are put in a situation where we have to trust buyers to tell the truth... and vice versa. selling online is risky business, and if you can't avoid these types of chargebacks, which it seems that you can't i would consider no longer selling items thru eBay, let alone the internet. you will always be at risk no matter who processes your payments if people make claims that only one watch is in the package, or whatever their claim is.

one question i have is what does your feedback look like? do you have alot of negs, neutrals? are there many people making claims in their feedback that you didn't send the item, etc? sometimes this isn't just a red flag, but rather the power of suggestion that you can be ripped off.

My biggest problem I notice that, I get many buyers that use me as drop shipper, without my permission, I set up just about every filter possible in my pay pal account and they still fine ways to do it, I can just tell by the addresses that some of the orders been dropped shipped.
I contacted pay pal and e bay and they have o answer to that.

Paypal personal account is not meant for conducting business,it is like Aunt Bertha wants to send you 25 dollars happy birthday, how did you manage to accumulate 2300 dollars in your personal account?
It sounds like you have some problem on your end, what you sell and how you conduct business, you need to stop selling and review your business model.
Do you have those watches in possession or do you rely on dropshipper as well?

libertywatches, why don't you request a password reset for the account your forgot the password???

As for buyers sending to other addresses, you should easily be able to compare name on paypal account to name on address.

One way to stop bidders to use you as a dropshipper is to price your items so there is no money to be made reselling them.
