I don't know how long they keep data, but you can access items for 90 days (sometimes a little more).

Basically every listing remains in eBay's database permanently except in consumer-friendly jurisdictions (Germany, much of EU, Australasia...) where privacy laws dictate otherwise. The listing data is normally taken off-line after 90 - 120 days depending on the listing server capacity and loading, whereupon its archived.
Much of this eBay historical sales and listing data is sold to third-party market analysis companies who resell it to eBay sellers. Its also used by security analysts to determine if eBay market segments are growing or shrinking compared to competitors like Amazon, Buy.com and Alibaba.
Its always useful to make copies of your eBay listings incase you want to relist them outside the 90 - 120 day window when they are viewable.
