Is it just me or is EBay slow for anyone else. Not getting hits or bids or watchers on some interesting stuff. The same is going on at the antique mall that I am in. Do you think it is because it is tax time?

Yes and spring break and graduation is around the corner too. Basically it's the spring perfect storm. I'm equally surprised that I have very little hits, let alone offers on many items. Same experience in our space in the middle of one of the busiest parts of Portland.

Had a buyer offer me 50 on an item listed at 165 - 15%. I sold the same item last week for 132. I gave them the same deal, telling them that was my best price at 20% off. They upped their 2nd offer to 75 which I rejected, then They offered 100, which I countered with 132. I'm sticking to my guns on it.

Each time I've sent a note with my explanation. I'm not caving to low ball offers.

Yes tax time is always hard for me as well but somehow this year hasn't been so bad. It was the same at Christmas - never my best time to sell but last year was OK.
My whole year seems turned around - when I normally do well, this year I'm not and when I normally don't do well, I am. Go figure.

I noticed the same pattern over the last 12 months, ebabe.
Usually slow in July, August and December, but kicked butt those months last year!
But the October and November sales, usually high, were average.

I have a few low dollar items that usually do very well except in the summer. They have been going strong, but anything that brings the real bucks is dead.

I think feedback is a good indicator of it being slow. If sales are slow, you're generally not getting much feedback either. I've been stuck at the same feedback number for days now. I have received 9 feedbacks out of the last 50 items I sold.

I think a lot may have to do with the long cold winter. People don't want to be indoor so much right. I know I don't.

I found out those who are professional dealers who are buying to resell, dont bother to leave feedback or if they do,it is always late and brief.
