I am about ready to dump vendio after over 10 years with them. I am having problems with an error that says I cannot list an item because I already have the item ready for relist.
But the item is NOT being relisted, and when I try to relist, I get that error. I have to go make a new auction, get charged fees for listing again. Anyone else having this problem?
I am discussed with Vendio because I wrote them about the problem a week ago, and have not heard anything from them. If they want me to pay a premium through them to list, it seems they would want to tell me something, anything. What am I paying my money for. Vendio has been user vicious but I stuck with it, hoping in would get better. It did for a while, but now it is back to "ignore the customer" mode.

yes. I cut it about 6 years ago. I did the math and found an application that works with Mac that has saved me thousands of dollars which helped justify my switch from PC to Mac. I can't help but pat myself on the back for the switch because I really enjoy my mac.
New PC laptop: $700
Software Updates: $500 (MS Office, Quickbooks, Photoshop Elements)
Vendio Fees: $400+ a year
TOTAL COST 1ST YEAR: $1600 + $400 each additional year subscribing for Vendio
New Macbook: $1000
New Software: $300 (MS Office, Checkbook Pro, Aperture, GarageSale)
New Launching Service: $35 one time fee
TOTAL COST: $1335
The biggest justification was the quality of the computer, the superior operating system (I was tired of every other release of Microsoft Windows being terrible), and the bottom line on auction listing fees.
I wasn't using inventory, just launching auctions with templates and storing images. When eBay upped their images to 12 and started their own post-sale management, it really negated the need for me to pay Vendio monthly fees to duplicate the same thing I got for free from eBay. The launching service provides some high quality listing templates that make my listings very professional looking.
I had hoped Vendio would make some significant improvements, but it has seemed to remain fairly stagnant. I had hoped that their multi-channel inventory system would be worthwhile, but it's expensive and the sample websites they provide are bland, some don't even use Vendio any longer. Not very convincing, which is one reason I have hesitated with 11main.

I think the Vendio error you are getting means that the item is old and not on eBay anymore, so it can't be relisted. However, if you copy the item in Vendio, then you can list the copied version. Not sure this will work, but it's worth a try.

No. I never used a Mac before. I wanted to make the switch for several years, but I had a bunch of software on PC that kept me in the PC world. Finally, most of it became outdated.
When I started considering a Mac, I struggled with the cost. Then I started to investigate the software end of it and found that there are many built in features on a Mac that are not on a PC. In addition, some of the software I used on PC really frustrated me (Quickbooks). I found CheckBook Pro for $20 that did what I needed. It managed my expenses which is all I needed. I could run every report I required and wasn't nearly as obnoxious as Quickbooks. Then I found that 2011 Office for Mac was far superior in layout and functionality than that on the PC. The iPhoto app included on the Mac was really good at editing and managing photos, though I now use Aperture. I can create PDF files of anything without any extra plug ins or buying $250 Acrobat. The one thing I overlooked and I swear by now is Apple's Preview. This is a great simple built in app that allows me to quickly edit or add text to photos, convert file formats, etc. A very strong, yet simple application all built-in. Then the cost of Vendio was what really did it for me. I struggled with paying so much for something that in my opinion should have been better. I found an app that did what I needed with higher quality templates. The only thing I missed at first was the scheduled launch that Vendio provides... but now that I only list Fixed Price, it really doesn't matter when my listing ends.
Most people base their opinions between PC and Mac on their view of the company and less about the actual hardware and software. Though Apple is considered Propietary, the one beauty in this is there is no one else to blame other than Apple. If something goes wrong, you go to Apple, not get ping ponged back and forth in a blame game of it was the other company who made the... AppleCare warranty service is what you would expect when you buy a new car. They fix it, no questions asked. If it isn't repairable, they replace it. None of the GeekSquad BS of "we have to ship it out and you'll be without your computer for a month".
You really get what you pay for and yes, Apple costs more, but in the end I am not frustrated with the disaster of Windows Vista, Windows 8 or any of the "every other releases" that Microsoft puts out.
Also, if you want to run Windows on a Mac, you can do so. There is an application for that and from what I have heard it is very easy to switch between the two OS's.

My switch happened at the release of Vista. I was done with Microsoft after that. Been a Mac user for 5 years now saving me about $2000 from paying a certain online listing service monthly fees.

Thanks for the reply. However, I just tried to track an item with one hour left because ebay rejected it as relisted already. I found it on ebay, but it does not show up in my vendio listing. This appears to be a vendio problem, but the scumbags have not returned my questions.
It IS listed on ebay, but not on my vendio tracker. Vendio is such a pain. They want us to send them new customers, but they don't want to take care of the ones they got.
