I am trying to find clear instructions to download my listings from eBay into a CSV file so that I can use them when uploading to another website.

These items are inventory items, so I am not concerned about selling it on one site, and forgetting to remove it on an other.

I know there are ways to download your Ebay invoices, but not your Ebay listings.
But there are companies which will pull your Ebay listings to their site like 11 Main st,Ecrater, even Google one time has a feature so you can list them on Google site.
Maybe you can ask any of these sites to upload your Ebay listings and then download it from those sites.
An alternative to having your own website is to open a shop in one of those venues few people frequent and use it to keep track of your inventory, there are many out there.
If an item is sold, the FVF is rather low.
TIAS is still around, take a look

Here is the one issue I have with integrating a site like Etsy, Square Market, 11 Main into my own site - customer access to the entire marketplace.

If a customer comes to my site, clicks on my online store that takes them to my items listed on another site, I am driving away traffic and customers because they have options to search other vendors.

I think I actually lost a local customer a few months back. It was a local inquiry for me to make lights for a new bar down in Salem, Oregon. They saw my ad on Craigslist.

In our phone conversation I mentioned they could see my lighting on Etsy. They asked, "what is Etsy?" Now they go to Etsy and see my products AND everyone elses. I may have lost thousands in contract work because of that. I haven't heard back from them.

This is why I don't want to use an external site that offers access to other vendors.

Rubylane owners used to brag how much $$ they made sending shoppers from RB to Ebay!
But in your case,if a person is asking customs work on your site, and you send him to ETSY,how many Etsy sellers do the same kind of work in OR?

Unless you sell exclusively on your own site, otherwise directing a buyer to Etsy or Ebay or Tias etc ,the buyer will have a chance to look at other sellers.

exactly and is why I prefer to operate a store from my own website.

While I am in the process of creating a new website, I have created a link that opens my eBay store which actually looks very nice. Unfortunately, we get no analytics as to how many clicks are coming from my website to the eBay store, let alone how many sales it is producing. That is one thing that I really like about Etsy. Excellent analytics.
