all of a sudden one of my seller ID which has been in existence since 1996 has selling restriction because a buyer negged me for not giving her money to drive to the store and buy a row of buttons to sew on a dress I sold her.
The button is inside the box,but she claimed to have thrown the box away at work.
I dont recall shipping the dress to an office address?

She could have taken the package with her and opened it at her office. Why didn't you just mail the customer a couple bucks or send her a button?

Just stand very close to the nearest wall. Begin beating your forehead against the wall. Repeat until the feeling goes away or you are unconscious. I find myself repeating these steps more and more lately.

My seller Id that was in place as long as yours had sellers restrictions imposed on it a little while back. I had no problems, no negs, no neutrals.I was insulted. I called Ebay, they said I had done nothing wrong, that everyone has restrictions. Most people do not know it because they never get close to it so it does not show up, but when they do, then Ebay officially posts their restrictions. I called back about a month later and had it increased, but I am still insulted.

Dear Capolady,
Loved your solution. I don't have anything listed right now, but when I do list again I have a special wall picked our for head banging. Thanks for a laugh.

I cannot just ship her any button,it has to match the remaining buttons on that dress, thats why she asked for money to drive to the store, find the row of button, sew them on-gas money, labor for finding the buttons and time to sew them on.
I am tired of this BS,I dont like issuing partial refund.
As for selling restriction,Ebay emailed me with good news,I can now sell more?
I have been on Ebay with that ID since 1996 and now good news?I can sell more??

I would bet the restrictions have nothing to do with any transaction. When I called Ebay about my restriction I had no negs, etc. 100% pure, nothing wrong. They told me they do it to protect the seller from getting in over their head (hahaaha) and that all IDs have restrictions but some are not visible. If you believe all that I have some bridges I can sell you.

Something has become obvious to me lately; we used to be such a happy bunch of eBay Sellers with only the odd gripe or two but now we are all sounding fed-up and stressed out.

Why are we doing this to ourselves??

Why are we doing this to ourselves?
BECAUSE WE STILL HAVE TONS OF STUFF WE NEED TO UNLOAD.

How right you are!
We went to the local Swap Meet a couple of Sundays ago and unloaded a lot of things that were taking up space.

This year they are seeing the largest numbers of Sellers ever. It is at a Speedway Race Track so is huge.
I couldn't help but wonder how many (apart from the ones we already know) are eBay sellers doing the same as us!
