Trying to sign in to eBay and I CAN'T! Says my email and user id are wrong. When I try to look at one of my items via Vendio link it says the item has been removed! Is this a glitch or have I been hacked? How do you reach eBay when you can't get in to the system to get an authorization number? Is anyone else having problems?

This is scary (from a report on the link I provided in previous post):
"Lol I can't log in either and before all that happened I was notified a auction I had just paid for was removed. And then the other 5 things in my "buying" list disappeared. Not cool "

Oh dear!

A friend of mine who is not very tech savvy e-mailed me this morning to say her eBay account had gone! Our relationship is that she panics and I calm her down and try to help.
I knew that she had good Feedback and not too bad DSR's but with some of the 'Pink slips' being handed to Sellers since August 20th I was concerned that she made have had hidden defects.
Her Store was gone from my 'Favorite Sellers' list too. I also had one of her items on my watch list and when I clicked on that I got a big blue box telling me that the item had been removed by eBay.

She tried to call them but the message she got was that they were dealing with overload of phone calls.

Approx. 1 hour ago she e-mailed to tell me that everything had come back..I checked and yep...she was back.

I just read that Home Depot had a major hacking incident today apparently bigger than Targets.

Time to go on vacation again....

yes,Home Depot has problems.
PF Chang is now using the old swipe machines.
Someone who sell swipe machines said he has received many orders from retailers, they want to keep them as back up.

I've got everything back now too. EBay claims the outage did not affect that many users and was due to maintenance glitch. That's little solace when you have a hundred items ending during the outage period and the best time for viewing is ending soonest. Sigh....

Neglus,

You may possibly get something back from eBay. On their Announcement Board they have told us that everything is fixed and that they will look at re-imbursing affected Sellers.
