I'm trying to find out one of my buyer's buying history and I don't see a way to do it now.
I can get to it in the advance search, mark 30 days history and it just shows their FB. It appears that their bidding history is totally hidden.
In this case, I wanted to send a little token gift to a buyer and wanted to see her likes and dislikes.
Is this just another wedge between the buyers and sellers??

How dare we sellers consider doing some investigative work on buyers, particularly those who raise red flags.
My most common reason for using history was to contact other sellers to see if they had issues with a buyer who is giving me a difficult time. Sometimes there were no issues, other times I found a pattern of them claiming INAD or damaged items to get refunds. I would report those to eBay who did nothing but allow them to continue this trend. Obviously, eBay doesn't really want to do any work on iffy buyers... however, sellers is a whole other realm.

I used it to see if they found a cheaper identical item to explain why they claimed INAD and wanted to return and bypass the regular return route.

I have the opposite problem. I purchase an item from a fellow seller, I paid immediately, left ok feedback, AND HE BLOCKS ME????? Figure that one out. I have 100% feedback as a seller for 13 years. I would never block anyone who buys, pays right away and gives good feedback.
And ebay stops you now from contacting the seller to ask "why". I have blocked some people, but I always sent them an email why they earned it.
ebay is getting too sneaky between buyer and seller, and stands in the way of resolving problems fairly and honestly. I think he thought I was someone else is my only guess.

May be OK feedback is like a neutral,it counts as a defect to your seller.
I blocked someone the other day ,she asked me a question which I am tired of answering many times(to other ebayers) so my answer is brief.
She thinks the answer is too brief and not accurate and my quoted shipping is too high as other sellers can ship for less.
I immediately block her as I smell trouble, the item has been marked down and it is a steal ,if she is still complaining about shipping,I dont want her as my customer.

drjackk, you can still contact the seller and ask questions. Just click on Contact Seller. Perhaps it was a mistake, but I am very cautious with buyers myself. Very, very picky people or people with annoying questions make for stressful transactions.

There are some seller who have not sold for a long time ,now they are back selling and received some bad reviews,as the older good ones dropped off,the recent good ones are not enough to offset the recent bad reviews, they become below standard and got suspended .

Well, I had no contact with the seller, and I often write OK just to get the feedback out of the way. OK means it was "ok". No bullcrap smiles and lies, just was OK, not "just ok", but ok. OK is fine by me. I guess you might be right. The OK he took wrong.
And by the way, you cannot now contact the seller if they block you. I tried, and got the message "seller is not taking emails right now" or something like that. That is what I am talking about, blocked communications too. No problems resolved. Ebays way!!

You can use Ebay autofeedback service and leave feedbacks ,as a seller you have a choice of leaving feedback as soon as buyer pays or after he leaves you feedback.
Some buyer leaves feedback as soon as he pays, before he sees the item!!!!!!

drjackk,
seller can block a buyer from buying as well as contacting him,it is part of Ebay preference!
You can change your feedback to say more than just OK,but it may be too late now.
