I have never seen this before. I purchased a book and when it arrived it was not the full sized novel as described, it was the smaller version. I contacted seller and they said they would accept book back but no refund on original shipping and I had to pay return shipping. Not going to happen so I went to file an "item not as described" and found it took me to "seller does not accept returns" page and I have to request permission from seller to return, which I had already done to no avail. So I figure the heck with this and I go to leave a "neutral" feedback and to my surprise ebay tells me I can't leave a neutral or negative for this seller. This is not a retailer and the seller has 7K feedbacks. The surprising thing is that there are no neutrals or negatives. How does this happen? I have never seen a seller that ebay won't over ride on returns and definitely have never seen a time when a seller is immune from neutrals or negatives.

That is odd as INAD has nothing to do with weather or not the seller takes returns.
Maybe you have to file it anyway and ask for a full refund and return shipping.
I don't know that I wouldn't call eBay on this one.

Here's another weird one.
I just had to refund a buyer because the item was damaged.
I email them 1st, then tried to cancel the transaction. It said I couldn't because there was an open case in paypal. I didn't get any notice from paypal or eBay about a case.
So I went to paypal and just issued a refund.
Went back to eBay and tried to cancel it again.
This time it worked - no waiting for buyer to reply or anything - just cancelled the order and refunded my fees.
Is this new too???

Yes I did but it's an ID I don't really use that much anyway.
It hurt more that it was a $150 item and I had to refund it.

Finally seller did agree to take item back and put shipping $$ in my paypal account. I called ebay and got the runaround. Asked if I could refuse to accept returns and was told "NO". Very odd

all your seller IDs are related,if one falls below standard and get booted,it would affect your other IDs,the good ones could be restricted to $$ and number of listings .
I have one ID I have been trying to close before March 15,2015 due to its ratings, but Ebay told me I CANT close it because I have open listings under my other IDs.
So what can I do?
Well, the rep said keep on listings and try to bring the rating up?
How can I bring the rating up if I am restricted to list 61 items per month and get hardly any visibility?she has no answer and I hanged up on her.

I still above standard on that ID and I've only had the 1 transaction in 6 months. I guess I'm OK and I'm about to pull the rest of them and just have the one ID left.
Looking for greener grasses in January.
