I just had a return request. The system states I have to pay for return shipping. When did this happen?

More frustrating is that the seller claims the item came tangled. The only time this ever happens is when the buyer mishandles it, installs it incorrectly or a child grabs it and tangles it. The company we buy from is very meticulous about packaging AND I check each one when we get them. Never an issue with tangling.

The buyer comment is, "when I removed it from the box, it was tangled and unusable. I would like a refund AND wish to order another one."

So, what I am being told by this is:

1) I am out about $45 on a $60 item if I include my cost for the item, plus having to pay for initial shipping, return shipping.

2) The buyer wants to purchase it again... so what's to say this won't be another problem, and costly at that. I have to pay more fees, more shipping and be on the hook again???

I would rather just take the return, and do not sell to the buyer again.

When did they change the system of me having to pay for return shipping too?

I went to file a claim with ShipCover for this package after accepting the return.

I'm told I can't file a claim until 12/15. Seriously, why do I have to wait til then for a damaged item? I can understand if the item was lost allowing additional time to make sure, but damaged???

I just got off the phone with Ebay,I bought an item not as described and seller accept return ,so I returned it on my dime and tracking shows it has been delivered,but she is not refunding or responding to my email.
Ebay said contact us on DEC 11,so today is Dec 11 and now in my case it said contact us on Jan 21 and there is no way I can find my return tracking,and I cant leave feedback because either item is not found or I have already left feedback.
Ebay rep said he would escalate the case tomorrow,either seller refund or Ebay will refund??
Some one said we are all trapped in Ebay MAZE.

I think if you accept return and enroll in managed return or hassle free return,you will pay return shipping??
look into your MY EBAY preference and see how you handle returns?
They can print a return label and EBAY will charge your account.

if your buyer said it comes tangled etc etc,it is one of the new ploys to get free return on buyer remorse or he is going to return an used item or a box of rocks and keep the new one he bought from you.

When I have a difficult buyer who wants to return and then buy again, I politely tell them I cannot take a chance that they will be satisfied the second time.

I think I'm going to block the when I issue a refund. They mishandled the item and now they expect me ship them another.
