I was on standby to leave for a jobsite, so I shortened my auctions to 3 days instead of 7, something I have never done.
Got my billing. A regular auction cost .30 cents. A 3 day "special??" auction cost $1.00. WTF????? Shorter cost MORE???
Learned my lesson, it would seem Vendio would warn you on their template that a shorter auction could cost more, at least warn people.

That 3 days listing fee was announced in MAY along with many of their new rules.
If you list on Ebay using Ebay listing ,you will see the amount they will charge before you confirm the listing.
But you get what you pay for,you may be getting more visibility for what you paid $1.00

Yeah the 3 day listing got me at the end of last month too. I wouldn't mind paying extra if they would let me pick the days - say if I want 4 days or 6 days. Still a dollar is a bit too much.

Ebay crunches its numbers and make decision based on what is good for Ebay?
Why one dollar for 3 days auction listing??
Sellers have always believed that your listing is viewed in the first 2 days and the last 2 days, and in between ,no one really find your listing.
Just for the heck of it, I listed a 14k gold bracelet for ten days free starting at $9.99,it got a bid in the first hour, then more bidders jumped in.
There are 5 more days to go,and it has 15 bids from 6 bidders and the current high bid is $150.
So it depends on what is the item .
On Etsy, a seller sells 18k gold jewelry and made a mistake on one of them, instead of $1195, she listed it as $195 and was sold , I dont know if the seller will honor the sale ???
If you want to play gutsy, try listing your heirloom at 99 cents or $9.99 and see what happens.
But if you cancel the auction when there are bids, Ebay will make you pay FVF on the current bid amount!
