I am in the process of winding down my Ebay and Etsy sales ,
Ebay policy of making seller picks up return shipping is too much for me.
There is nothing wrong with the item,
I have buyer as far away as Israel returning an item,I have domstic buyer making me pick up return of a 7 lbs metal item.
Many of them buy to resell,if they cant sell it ,theyw ill just say item is not as described and I end up paying shipping both ways.
your thoughts?

Yes eBay's return policy is rough for sellers.
I have found that the more expense the item, the fewer the problems. It seems the lower priced items cause the most problems, especially if the shipping is on the higher side. I think buyer know that sellers will just refund their money and let them keep the item rather than pay shipping both ways.
Say you sell an item for $15.00 and shipping is $7.00 - it doesn't make sense to pay $14 for a $15 item.
What type of items do you sell?
Have you ever challenged a NAD?

Thanks for your response.
I sell mostly collectibles,I have not trued NAD yet,
see,if they lose, they can go to Paypal but then with Paypal, they pay return shipping.
then they go to their cc issuer and this time they get to keep the item and the money.
With the 7 lbs bronze bell, she claimed there is something damaged in transit,so I ask for picture, but she positioned the bell in such a way you cant see the damage nor can I understand where is the damage.
I paid U-PIC insurance so I filed ,Upic wants me to mail them the 7 lbs bronze bell so they can look at it and they will pay postage.
When the bell finally come back to me,there is no damage, she did a better job packing than me,of course per Ebay,I paid return shipping.
I finally resold it to someone ,
But she wasted my money and my time ,UPIC must have seen these cases before, why would they want to see a 7 lbs bell ?
Then I have a small item sold to an Israeli,it took 2 months to arrive and he claimed it is Chinese mass produce and it is not,but I ask him to return the item at his expense.
But Ebay allow him to open a case after 2 months?
Then there is an UK buyer who said item does not look as nice as the picture and want a repalcement,he is repeat customer and paid for the return.
The item matched the picture but I sent him a replacement which looks lighter than the picture,?
so now he is happy,I dont get it?
exact copy, one is slightly lighter than the other.
I also sell antique watches on Etsy, twice buyers said it does not run,no mater how hard they tried with my instructions, one refused to return but ask for a small discount.
The other buyer wants my phone number, but never call me,she returned it and it ran like a charm.
I dont have to give out my phone number, email is just as good as phone?
Internet makes people lie ,every one is trying to make moneybuying to resell.

But I guess so far I have been lucky, other sellers have worse experience.
A $1700 GUITAR sold, buyer stripped whatever he needs and returned it.
A buyer wants a 375 items for 200,and seller refused,so he paid 375,trashed it and returned it.
and have you heard, someone will sell a cell phone, ship to your zipcode to a store which is always open and have someone sign an empty envelope and win the item not receievd dispute.
It could be a drycleaner,Chinese restaurant, hospital, just any place in your zipcode.
