Anyone know where to buy it by the case?
I am talking about Dansani's Lemon flavored water. It was REALLY good. I picked one up at Wal Mart (yes I have been to Wally World ) at the checkout, long line, they have these refrigerated soda and water, and I actually grabbed the lemon flavor by mistake!

I have checked every major supermarket around here, and though they have other waters like it (Fruit2O) the Dansani lemon was the best, and cannot find it. Even in Wal Mart, only the single bottles.

Fruit20 was ok, but the Dansani one was best. Nada on Safeway, Albertsons, QFC, Fred Meyer (its Kroger really) Larrys. None have it! Costco I think? only sells Kirkland water by the case.

Darndest thing. My daughter went looking online for it, and couldn't find it. Though I doubt I would buy it online!

Nearthesea, Coke makes a lemon flavored water and the spelling is "DASANI" rather than "DANSANI".

Could that be what you are looking for?

Helen! I knew I was spelling it wrong here! LOL!

Hey, I've take my ice water, and put lemon juice in it all the time, it just isn't the same.

I did hear though that most of these bottled waters are tap water but claim to be spring, or some other type of water.

One thing that the Dasani water had is Splenda in it. It was 0 calories, and it was good! Darn, nothing tastes like it. Though Fruit20 is good. The 'fortified' waters suck, bought one to try and yuck! I'll get my vitamins some other way thanks

Near, I haven't seen that one yet... sounds good though. I buy Sam's Choice "Clear American"..Black Cherry flavored sparkling Beverage..caffeine free.calorie free.sodium free..really good tasting and bubbly.. I sometimes mix it half and half with my bottled water. I have well water and I can't stand the taste.. so I buy my water...

maggie, have you tried a Brita water filter that you fill with your tap water and it filters the water into a container. You place it in your refrigerator. It takes out the bad taste, the impurities, chlorine, etc.

It has worked for me.

Lot cheaper than buying bottled water all the time.

But if you add a shot of Scotch who, cares if it doesn't taste the same.

OOOOhhhhh.. Bear.. anyone that would drink Scotch would eat sh!t and bark at the moon.. that is god-awful tasting stuff!

Tex..no I must admit that I haven't tried a Brita Filter.. my friends have them and swear by them.. I don't even let my dogs drink the well water.. LOL...

I'm thinking about having it delivered from Abita Springs. They supply the cooler/heater and deliver it to your door.. Right now I am lugging in the 2.5 gal. containers myself.

Splenda - bad, bad, bad. Sucralose (what Splenda contains) is a chlorocarbon and chlorocarbons can cause organ, genetic, and reproductive damage. Splenda is not natural and does not taste like sugar. The sweetness of Splenda derives from a chlorocarbon chemical that contains three atoms of chlorine in every one of its molecules. The manufacturer of this chlorinated compound named it sucralose. There has not been a single long-term human study to determine the potential health effects of Splenda on people. The FDA relied on a few short-term tests. Bad, bad, bad.

What's wrong with real sugar? A teaspoon of sugar has 15 calories and 4 grams of carbohydrates. Refined white sugar is pure sucrose, which is a carbohydrate. Carbohydrates provide energy, contain no fat, and like protein contribute 4 calories per gram in your diet (as opposed to the 9 calories per gram contributed by fat). Your body treats sucrose in the same way regardless of its source. In fact, your body uses all sugars in the same way, so eating refined sugar, or honey, or sugars from any other source has the same effect on your body -- it is converted into glucose and used by the cells for energy.

Would you have expected any other comment from me?

Near - I am wondering the same thing! I got addicted a couple days ago, found it at a 7-11 and you are right, the lemon rocks!

You can order it here: http://www.cvcoffee.com/ or I bet you can get your local grocery store to order it for you since it is a Coke product.

fenix!! thats it! Is that just Atlanta delivery? I just went and found it, didn't check out if they ship ( or how much that would cost) It IS good!

Cheryl, I understand a lot of people have negative feelings about Splenda and other artificial sweetners. Mike loves Splenda, and he's not on a diet. But its pretty high priced to buy a pound or more at the grocery store. But he asks for it when at a restaraunt.
I'm not on a diet, and don't go out of my way to get Splenda, but it really does take good in this water

Thanks Fenix! btw, you haven't been around for awhile? or am I losing it again??

Here you go Mags
http://www.cvcoffee.com/pd_dasaniflavoredwater.cfm

Near - You are not losing it - I decided to take a little road trip and ended up in the hell that is Colorado the past couple days (105 yesterday and today). Probably heading home this weekend so I'll be gone again for a day or two or three depending on whether I dead head it back or take a few days and explore some more.

I don't know what their shipping in on that link. Luckily there is a little mom and pop grocery near me so I made a note to see if they can order a couple cases for me. It's addicting stuff! BTW - If you or someone you know has a Sams Club membership they have the bulk Splenda for half of what it runs in the stores.

It is addicting! I've been 'using' the off brands till I get the real thing

I thought you were missing, and probably would have started a topic on where are you!

I heard there is a heatwave back east, 2 friends of mine, one in VA and one in MD say they've had heat advisorys! But I know it can get really hot in CO!

Yeah since its a Coke product I'll probably ask at our grocery store if they can get it.

No, we don't belong to Sams, we do belong to Costco, they may have Splenda there. I don't know why he likes it so much (maybe its Splenda that makes it addicting? something to think about! )

Near - It was the Tancredo comment that tipped you off wasn't it. You just knew that if I didn't make a comment still another idiot comment by that winner I must be offline (I hear he may be considering a run for office in 2008 - won't that be interesting).

Mags - I missed that - that sounds like it should be listed as part of the definition of decadent!

I've tasted worse.

Well it is an aquired taste, best on the rocks, preferably a single malt.

Near, if you cant find it theough the other lind, try using Kroger's Special order section;

Water? Water? you mean the stuff you take a bath in? The stuff in ice cubes?

Reminds of a story W.C. Fields told about going on safari in Africa.

A few days into their trek they ran out of gin and were forced to live on food and water.

fenix, nope, been staying out of political threads lately but I might start reading them again

Maggie, I've never had Godiva Chocolate! Only Dove

Bear, there are some liquors I can't stand, one of them is scotch
But I love a good pina colada (sp) there is a bar in Ocean Shores, that the bartender makes the best pina colada! it is like a milkshake, they are soooo good. And now they are making 'fruity' martinis, I never knew this until we took my daughter and her DH to dinner, and she ordered a 'peach' martini, I tasted it, and it was good. (otherwise can't stand the 'old' gin and vermouth one)

cblev is right on Splenda. Google for the facts on Splenda and then stay away from it. Even other artificial sweeteners are a bit healthier than Splenda.

Even my MD says the same thing.

LOL, Prof! We have a Brita container that we keep in our 'fridge full of water. I never pay for water. I fill my water bottle up with it and I'm good to go. A little bit of lemon and a little bit of sugar and you have flavored water.

Martinis are not made from peaches, or any other kind of fruit for that matter. A martini is made from Gin and vermouth, period. These fruit "martinis" are for children and pansies, and should have to bear a label attesting to that fact.

Actually the price has gone up Prof. I've had my well for about 5 years now & I got a deal on it. Before the driller started, I told him I only had $4400.

He knew most of the wells in this area were in the 300 to 350 ft depth. At the time, the first 200 ft cost $3000 & then $20 per foot after.

Now the 1st 200 ft is $3750 & $25 a foot there after. And he stays busy at that price.
