I have said repeatedly that the President's religious beliefs cannot be criticized----many, many times. This is a free country. If he finds comfort in his religion, more power to him. I am happy for him. Yipee! Following the tenets of his religion in his personal life---great, wonderful. I am talking about governmental business only! If an atheist became president, I would expect him to keep his beliefs out of his official business too.

I've asked you to prove that it's our law ANYWHERE that a President is RESTRICTED in using his own religious beliefs in making his political decisions.
My position is he's NOT.
It doesn't matter that atheists/etc don't agree. HE was ELECTED by a majority that supported HIM....not the atheists.
When and IF the day ever comes that ANY atheists/muslim is elected to our highest office....he'll/she'll do the same thing.
NON-religious people just don't appear to be able to GRASP that concept. But it doesn't mean it doesn't happen...and that it isn't ALLOWED.

My point Helen is that Linduh is so quick to attack everyone she disagrees with. It is her sole goal to cast her dark shadow upon others where ever she roams. Her life is one of misery, and the only method she has to make herself feel better is to attack others. It is the typical fascist mantra... attack everyone else in order to deflect attention from yourself.
Linduh won't answer the question because she is afraid to expose herself to herself. We already know where she stands, but she simply won't admit it to herself.
Notice how much stock she puts into my progressive ideology. Even after two years she continues to say things like, " I do know your political leanings. You have posted them here. She pretends that she has exposed me for the leftist leaning liberal that I am proud of being. There is absolutely nothing wrong with being a liberal. It is Liberal Ideologies that have made this country so great to begin with. I don't think we need to list all the great programs that were instituted by Progressive Liberals, now do we???
Where Linda continues to go astray is when she makes statements that I support Democrats.
To the contrary, I have never supported Democrats as a party, nor have I ever been a Democrat. I've been an Independent, I've been a Pacific Green, and I've been a Republican, but ironically... I have never been a Democrat.
I have been one of the few liberals here who have no problems stating the truth about many Democrats. I've given my opinion about Clinton, I've chastised Democrats like Jefferson in Louisiana, and I'll be the first to say I feel sorry for the people of Virginia who had the poorest choices for Senate between Webb and Allen. How do you choose between a racist and a sexist???
I most definately have had more complaints about Republicans, especially over the last 6 years, but there is a reason for that. They have controlled the White House, the Senate and the House... They have had their way for 6 years, and what do we have to show for it? Absolutely zero oversight, a war that is spiraling out of control, a poor economy (not the great "corporate" economy that Linda brags about), health care costs spiraling out of control, an Emergency Response program that failed us, a National Security policy that is more concerned about us taking off our shoes and dumping drinking water and toothpaste at an airport than protecting our ports, scandal after scandal, etc. The truth is that there will always be political scandals, whether it is Republicans, Democrats, or whoever. Where I have a very serious problem is when you have hypocrites in power who say one thing and do another. No real responsibility, no oversight, everyone looks the other way. It is sick. The worst are the Christian Conservative Republicans who tout "protect our children" and "morality", but live secret lives of indiscretion. When they get caught, you here them lie, deny, then turn to face reality under the guise of "I have sinned" and "God will Forgive Me". This is where I have a problem with the Christian faith... They run and hide behind forgiveness instead of taking responsibility and acting like a decent human being from the beginning. It amazes me how many fake Christians there are out there. Instead of seeking forgiveness, perhaps they should have sought help before it got them in trouble to begin with. Seeking forgiveness from your diety is a cop out, especially when you know you can run to it at the first sign of trouble. People make mistakes, it is a human trait, but you should always be honest with yourself and that is where they go wrong.

Don't try to lower yourself to their level in order to be understood. It wastes your energy and demeans you to do that. The most obvious differences between Linda and the rest of the neo nut jobs is that Linda pretends to float in the middle. She doesn't see herself as the radical neo-fascist that she is. Nope, she sees herself in lockstep with the rest of America. She's obviously lost touch with reality, as you can see by her posts.
Personally I lean left, and even left of liberal on some issues though I also lean right of center on others. I also understand that the center is the comfort zone where both sides can meet to accomplish many great things. Perhaps it is because I have already served in public office, and I know what it takes to reach across the table in order to accomplish as much as possible. Perhaps, it is because though I have my own personal political views, I also know both sides of the argument, and can make decisions with a clear understanding of what those views are without putting my own ideology first.
Linduh would love to see nothing more than a hard shift to the right in politics. She has made it abundantly clear that she wants a government controlled by Republicans in all 3 branches, she has made it very clear that her goal is to ram her fascist ideology down the throats of Americans.
I personally could care less about absolute control. I want to see a balanced system where there are checks and balances in our government. Oversight is more important than control. So in many ways, I'm a centrist when it comes to government and a progressive liberal when it comes to politics and social reform.
But, leave it to Linduh... and she'll try to convince you otherwise. That is the only platform she has... smear, smear, and smear. No room for real debate. She won't answer questions, she won't participate in real dialogue and that is why I have absolutely NO respect for her.

Later on when Linda was nosing into the lives of others here and questioning their allegiance and also wanting to get Logansdad booted she was threatening to turn you into the FBI.
It's obvious by Linda's posts that she is a very unhappy individual so all she tries to do here each day is lie and see if she can make life as miserable for someone else as hers seems to be.

What Linda obviously forgets is that I very clearly clarified my standing with Mike. Mike seemed to be a much different person when I knew him in college than when I ran into him here. The irony of course is that Mike ran for US Senate with the Green Party and was praised by Ralph Nader, someone that Linduh supported to be on the Presidential ticket. Hmmm... go figure.
