ROUND-TRIP AIRLINE TICKETS WORLDWIDE FOR TWO PEOPLE!!!

$1600 IN AIRFARE!!!
Due to our connections in the travel industry and with the air carriers, every year we are fortunate enough to get our hands on a few hundred of these certificates. We have only a few remaining for the rest of the year, and we are blowing them out for only $34.95 each! This auction is only for 2 days, and we only a few of left... then they will all be gone! These fantastic certificates are good for two round-trip airline tickets anywhere the following airlines fly - American, Southwest, Northwest, United, Hawaiian, TWA, Continental, Delta, USAir, Alaska and many international carriers.

This great deal can be offered on the account of our huge purchasing power and our connections within the travel industry. The terms and conditions are as follows: Valid through December 2005, 60 days advanced booking required for availability. These certificates are redeemable for two fully paid, round-trip adult airfares with a total combined value of $1600 when hotel accommodations are booked ~ standard & sometimes discounted rates ~ through the travel agency listed on voucher. These certificates are fully transferable. No red-eye flights, no stand-bys! Flights must originate from within the continental US. That's the deal!

****************************************
Now, somebody tell me this is a joke. There's a catch to this; right?

"... when hotel accommodations are booked ~ standard & sometimes discounted..."

They bomb you with REQUIRED OUTRAGEOUS over-rack rates for the room!

Joe Schmo pays 69.00/night, but YOU pay $300/night, or something along these lines -- get the idea??!!

Timetraveler, I don't understand what you state.
Can you break it down into English.
Is this a scam or not a scam? I have friends writing me about this.

Is this a legit seller or not a legit seller?

It seems legit to me. $1600 for hotel costs seems reasonable if you're staying for a full week. I mean luxury hotels go for $200 a night X 5 to 7 nights = $1400/$1500 for the week.

that last ebayer doesn't have the greatest fb, normally i would never trust a trip to this,,but check it out with a travel agent tell em to match it.

family members have used deals like these & it worked good, but every time they did it thru a local travel agency not a coupon. the hotels subsidize it,some of the hotels are expensive though.buyer beware like always,i have no idea if it is good or not..

my point of posting is to show you how to see all the info, when you go to the item scroll down and see all the questions and answers, everything at ioffer is open to viewing..
ask him a question, has he ever sold these before? etc...
good luck,but be careful
anytime you see a listing at ioffer that you think is questionable or a scam, there is a misuse button, unlike other sites ioffer immediately checks it out. one lady bought a designer purse, ioffer immediately emailed her & told her not to pay & had suspended the seller as it was a counterfit, pretty great service..

here are the negotiations so far, from bottom of the listing page

Buyer: Question:
the "required accomodations" are all the more pricey hotels correct Jun 11 18:56 PDT
Seller: Answer:
They are Deluxe accommodations, yes. Very nice & range around $150 per night, but remember, the airfare is FREE. And the hotel rates are not inflated, in fact, many times they are slightly discounted from what is currently being offered to the general public, so this really is a fantastic deal! Also, don't forget, you have until December of 2005 to use this offer once you redeem your certificate. Thanks! Jun 11 19:05 PDT

Questions & Offers between blueyblond (0) and the Seller

Buyer: Question:
Would you send me the list of accomodations and their prices??? Are these HOTELS? Thanks! Jun 18 08:21 PDT
Seller: Answer:
Yes, they are hotels, but I wouldn't be able to send you a list, as this would depend on the participating hotel s in the area which you are traveling & also would depend on the specific dates of travel etc. This would all be arranged by the travel agency which is running the promotion. I am just a distributor of the certificates. But I will try to answer any additional questions you may have. Thank you.

All of these "deals" boil down to:

"This great deal can be offered on the account of our huge purchasing power and our connections within the travel industry. The terms and conditions are as follows: advance booking suggested for best availability. These certificates are redeemable for two fully paid, round-trip airfares with a total combined value of $800.00 when hotel accommodations are booked ~ standard rates ~ through the travel agency listed on voucher. These certificates are fully transferable. That's the deal.

This is absolutely one of the most exciting and innovative vacation packages available. Once you receive the certificate you will have to register it with the travel agent within 30 days of receiving it. Shipping and handling on this auction is $5.00 regardless of quantity!

DON'T MISS OUT ON THIS INCREDIBLE OFFER!!!!"

My BOLD added.

Good travel deals require research & perseverience -- I went to London 2 weeks ago thru EXPEDIA & had RT air + 6 nights at ****4star hotel for $750/person, including cancellation insurance.

I'm always leary of INCREDIBLE OFFERS that require STANDARD RATES at hotels -- NOBODY ever pays the standard rack rate!

I feel better safe than sorry especially far from home. my sis had an overbooking at one hotel in venice, had to carry their luggage quite a ways to the only other hotel nearby with a room,it was about 400.00 per nite..ouch!!..

(this was not on a coupon dealy trip, just a regular trip)
you need to be prepared for anything, really runs up the credit card when something goes wrong.

My point is that it is not fair to single out ioffer.com for this auction being listed there. These auctions are everywhere.

Oh yes,you are so right, i looked for it at ebay & didn't see it you found it though.

I have seen these many times over the years too,i personally would not use coupons unless the seller was a specialist in travel packages with tons of great feedback.(probably not even then, just use it as leverage at my local travel agency for the best deal)

ioffer is a very clean site for its size, they work constantly to keep it that way. you don't see the Romanian scammers and a lot of yahoo & ebays problem items prevalent there.

a person got ripped off at yahoo the other day, they said on the chat there they were going back to ebay where it is safer..
right..

not just ioffer, yahoo or any site with items you need to really check out..you need to be careful at every site.Point well taken
