Could be, but the selection of merchandise is very weak. I have been keeping track of the stats and no movement. They need some decent merchandise. Only a matter of time till the recipe auctions flood the site.

Auction DOOFUS Just when I thought you've made the DOOFIEST remark you amaze me with an even DOOFIER comment. Nice interview, where did the dig up that fossil? A 2.2 million dollar private placement from some european investors? why because no investment bank in the US would touch that leaky bag of sh*t with a 10 foot pole. What is bidville going to do that both Amazon and yahoo could not do with their deep pockets and traffic. I'm a buyer I'm going to leave the niceness of ebay for bidville? Have you taken a look at ebay lately, go compare it to any of the other auction sites. Now go take a look at bidville. Look at the quality of the items, the sellers, the ads and the site overall. It's a big old crap fest. Again I ask the million dollar question what is bidville going to do that neither Amazon or yahoo could do. Both amazon and yahoo focused on beating ebay and they had the technology and certainly the money and traffic and failed. You really think some old Elmer Fudd looking idiot and the flunky carnaby ceo are going to do a better job. You think this is the stock of the century, man you are DOOFY aren't you. Please AuctionDOOFUS for your own good stay away from the stockmarket. I know how hard it is for you to make a buck, don't let Elmer Fudd swindle you out of it. I'm giving you this advice as friend.

We all know there's a lot more to offer at BV than recipes. BW, why do I keep getting the feeling you want BV to need you desperately? All of your starting bids are less than $10... How did you get so elite? What a joke!

200 recipe auctions does not a flood make. There are 25 recipe auctions on the now DEAD Yahoo that you praised so highly for years. And, oh my! Ebay seems to be overrun with recipe auctions...

I downloaded the free RalPlayer and listened to the whole interview. Incredible pipe dream and BS fest by the gangster looking dude. They expect to have 3.5 million registered at BV fairly soon up from the current 80,000. He strongly hinted at listing fees at some point in the future. In three or four months another round of funding will be sought after.
There should be some advertising soon. I have said in the past that even if BV spent millions on advertising that it would not make any difference and now we may see if I was right or wrong.

No doubt about it ebay has the most items and the best quality overall. WHo comes in second? I don't even consider amazon and yahoo, they have the fire power but they don't even try anymore. I think ebay broke their spirit and they've given up. Go take a look at the other 4 do your own test. Check the quality of the items, check out the seller's feedback, have they had any previous sales, do the sellers look like someone you'd buy from, is the site easy to browse, does the site look good over all or does it look like it was thrown together. These are all factors that would make or break the site. I'm a fan of ioffer they are the youngest, have the best looking site over all and have a wide range of quality items. That is my opinion, make up your own mind, but if your going to express it on a board make sure you can back it up.

Hell, there's no time to tell you how great BV is when so much time is needed just to deflect the lies. Is BV recipe's only? You tell me? Ebay seems to have its share, as do most other sites.

Since you asked, I'll tell you why I think BV is a good site. I don't promise to keep it short, and I don't have to back up diddly squat...

BV has some features that I just love. One is the individual Seller Search that makes it possible for Buyers to check a favorite Sellers auctions quickly and efficiently. It's also useful to Sellers with thousands of auctions. They can easily locate one auction out of thousands if they need to.

Another feature that I really like is the Personal Message feature in Trackpal... It allows you to insert the same message into all of your auctions with one entry. It's invaluable for when you are running a special promotion or want to let your Buyers know you'll be out of town. It's a good place for your TOS as it displays just below your auction description, and any changes can be made swiftly and efficiently in all of your auctions at once.

BV has longevity, and has survived the constant flaming issued by POS people such as yourself, Blair and Dim. It's grassroots and it's been fun, but now we're going to the next level with advertising. I think that's pretty exciting.

In Trackpal you can check the balance of your credits with one click. Yahoo has screwed me so many times on Featuring it's not even funny. Can I go in and easily see what's being charged to my acct at Yahoo? Not very easily, in fact it's a huge pain in the butt to keep track of at Yahoo, but that's the way they like it Yahoo attempted a charge-back on my Discover account which is illegal, and that tells me a lot about Yahoo. I have never had a problem like that at BV.

The site navigates well with very little down time, and then there's the Community of BV. If you have a question about anything there's always someone around to help.

I also like the Rapid Relist feature. When I'm in a hurry, I just check down the list, hit submit and all of my auctions are back out there. If it isn't out there they can't buy it

BV's pic upload is fast. At Yahoo you have to upload one... wait. Upload the next, then wait. At BV you select both pictures and hit submit. It's much more efficient and time is money as I'm sure you know.

My favorite thing about BV is the way its presence scares you to the point of continual flaming with no justification. Now, you tell me what's so horrible about BV?

PS. With one swift move I've just entered some stonecold613 text into my auctions at BV. Go take a look at any one of my auctions and you'll see it. How's that for efficient? I'm CuFF and if that doesn't prove it to you you're more ignorant that I previously thought

You fight 'em Cuff! I chose to ignore 'em but you chose to fight 'em instead.

You have to listen to the interview. The guy sounds like he's got a 10th grade education and the phone annoyingly rings twice during the interview. Those super-lofty projections should be a major red flag to everyone. This guy got lucky years ago during the internet boom with one company and now he's trying the same thing in the much-wiser internet during a quasi-recession. Why the pundits have not jumped on this 'Florida swamp land' scheme is beyond me. One segment on 60 Minutes or 20/20 should send the stock back to the one cent range and cause BV to stop operations. This is dangerous stuff for the little village called Bidville.

If you had no problems with those tens of millions of dollars in sales/revenues projections then BV is indeed the site for you! Why not buy some BV stock to show you true support and conviction? Only $6.30 a share and may hit $10 soon? Except for the inept Yahoo Auctions and MSN half-hearted auction attempt -- no other auction site has really tried to take a piece of ebay's pie via advertising. I think it's next-to-impossible but some of the naive investing community may agree. Buy some shares now and sell at $10 and make a few bucks with the gangsta from Florida!

BV is now a 'house made of cards'. The new BV management is not going to pull off the miracle of the ages and make BV into any kind of a powerhouse. BV will probably duplicate the same fate as Carnaby ( why not many of the cast of characters are the same? )
All in all, it makes for good drama even as predicitable as it is.

Mscuff2u you talk about all these great features bidville has. Every site has individual seller search and rapid relist, not sure when or which sites you’ve used but it is 2004 and web technology has advanced eons. Maybe bidville is just starting to add these features that have been mainstays on other web sites. One thing I have noticed for sure is that these 2nd and 3rd rate auction sites seem like their design and technology is circa 1999. Bidville in fact is based on a mixture of coldfusion and active server pages, which are pretty shaky and primitive at best. The site till now has been a side hobby of a medical school student not the main focus of a group of technology buffs. Go read a little bit about coldfusion and what a garbage platform it is. It may be OK for a hobby site and that is really what coldfusion was designed for, it certainly can not handle high traffic needs of a large scale consumer site. Go take a look at some newer sites, not these bullsh*t auction sites, but real sites, that use a more robust, more advanced scalable technology platform. I have a degree in computer science and work in technology in the Bay Area, the epicenter of technology, and can tell you that bidville would and has to rewrite their entire code. The fact that it’s a mixture of coldfusion and ASP certainly indicates it was thrown together by an idiot. Both are web application platforms for beginners, kind of like a more advanced homepage or dreamweaver, the fact that it’s a mixture of both indicates two different amateur programmers worked on it, or one idiot starting the project and then another idiot was brought in to finish the work. It’s actually pretty funny to hear Elmer Fudd both claim how great the platform is and how they are going to be redoing the backend, well which one is it Fudd, or don’t you know. I wouldn’t expect and old buzzard like that to know either way. Let see what the stock drops to one the quarterly earnings reports are published that should be a laugh.

Now you 6-fingered booger eating hillbilly, what really made me laugh is this great feature you boast about that gives you the ability to insert comments about stonecold into all of your auctions and how it could also be use for all you promotional activities. What promotional activities, your rating shows that in the last month you've had a grand total of 10 sales averaging $3.65, let assume for fun your running 100% profit margin on these items you've made a whopping $36.50. Hey Rockefeller!! What are you promoting? Your current items have an no bids and have an average price of $2.60 with the exception of an overpriced grill

http://www.bidville.com/search/user_search.asp?user_id=cuff&shop_type=all&sort_by=

http://www.bidville.com/listings/details/index_asp.asp?in=7800236
http://www.blackswanhome.com/vc400.htm

Seems a bit odd you have all of this $1 $2 crap and than this $2600 grill, I just might have to check with the authorities to see if anyone in the greater Beaufort, SC had their grill swiped recently. Very suspecious if you ask me. AuctionDOOFUS is a pretty good snitch, maybe we should deputize him and have him look into (Deputy DOOFY, wasn't that in a movie recently).

Now mscuff2u I suggest you go back to picking tobacky or going to the local Hootenanny or whatever it is you inbred banjo strumming’ brotherunclefather loving people do.

Yeah cuffs2u I’m a moron. You’re the uneducated hillbilly that’s missing a few teeth and chromosomes and you are calling me a moron. Good luck selling your grill. You think anyone has ever purchased a grill on bidville in the 5 years they’ve been in operation. See if you can find one.

http://www.bidville.com/search/word_search.asp?phrase_match=all&whole+words=no&shop_type=all&dollarsale=no&parent=0&search_span=title&search_limit=active&search_text=grill&sort_by=

I couldn’t locate a reputable grill seller on bidville, I tried.

http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?MfcISAPICommand=GetResult&ht=1&SortProperty=MetaEndSort&from=R3&siteid=0&query=grill

I easily found someone on ebay
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=20724&item=2368419037

http://www.ioffer.com/advSearchSold.do?target=SEARCH&from=BUY&title=grill

I also found a reputable seller on ioffer
http://www.ioffer.com/viewItem.do?itemID=1300514

That is the entire basis of my argument yes 1.2+ million items but almost entirely composed of crap. Tommorow it may very well reach a grand old number of 1.3 million items comprised mostly of crap. The bigger the crap pile the smellier it is. Bidville lacks quality, it lacks quality items, quality sellers and the end all be all it lacks quality buyers. That is why you have only sold 10 items last month with an average price of $3.65 that is why you have no bids currently and that is why you won’t sell your over priced grill.

You can call me a moron all you want but it will never change the fact that you most certainly are a moron.

You know, I don't have to explain myself to you but I will, and we will see who the moron is. I have a friend on the west coast who happens to be a general contractor. He got excited about the possibilty of selling a few grills online and asked me to list one at BV. I listed it for him and will continue to do so A. because it's free and B. there's an off chance that someone will come along and bid. I have nothing to lose in doing so. I have all of my teeth and my chromosome's are intact. Since there's no cure for being a moron, I'm afraid there is no hope for you.

You go girl! ( almost accidently put 'you go grill !' )
The numbers are increasing still but February first is fast approaching an that when the members have the last chance at a six month signup for memberships.
With the stock price creeping up and the new management talking about possibly getting on AMEX or NASDAQ or whatever better sounding stock exchange instead of the Penny Stock Bulletin Board thingie they are on now they may draw some investigative reporters to the site to see what the selling rate is and the average price and stuff.

If there are any investigative reporters lurking out there I strong suggest going to www.mootalk.com and seeking out a great poster named Dimview that has a lot of informative data ( and no bias or slant against the site whatsoever ) on Bidville.
