What a neat story on this artist. "New Life" by Joni Eareckson is in a muted gold bamboo and red frame on vinyl. The print depicts the life cycle of the Monarch butterfly, the transformation in each stage.
We included the artist information on the back especially because she has such an amazing story. When she was 17 she suffered a broken neck from a diving incident and was paralyzed from the shoulders down. But while she was recovering she decided to see what she could do by drawing with a pencil in her mouth and uncovered a wonderful talent. She signs all of her paintings with "PTL" which stands for "Praise the Lord". She says, "If God can empower me to rise above my circumstances, He can enable you to do the same".
The print measures "18.5 x 22.5". It is in good condition, due to the print vinyl finish there are faint indentations on the surface that you can see from an angle if you get really close up. Also, it looks like there may be 2 little specs of age spots or discoloration. Again, not very noticeable unless you get close and look for them. We try to be as detailed about each item as possible and do not want to misrepresent the item. This print is in good condition overall. It's a great print for any Joni Eareckson fan or butterfly lover.
