Yup stones that a quarried are the color they are because of when they are quarried...
Most the deeper you go and therefore are older the deeper the color. The stone is called what it is due to it's genetics so to speak not because of it's color.
So here we get an amazing color pink that is unlike other stones that just happen to be amethyst... I love it!!!!
