Stamps included are original issues and not reproductions. A mint, as issued, unused, unopened, vintage souvenir stamp box measuring approx. 6" x 9" x 1", in charcoal colored hard plastic construction. The original packaging, shelf worn, also doubled as a mailer to send this souvenir as a gift. The top lid contains a mint set of Centennial issued stamps under clear plastic window for values 1c to $1. The stamps are unchecked for the wide varities that these stamps where printed in. At the top of the box is a water reservoir and roller, for wetting postage to affix to your mail. The hinged box lid opens to reveal a 5-1/2" X 7-1/4" storage compartment for your postage, including two smaller compartments for storing Air Mail & Special Delivery labels (not included); plus a couple of Post Office information inserts. The Stamp Issues include the then new portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth in the design of the 1c, 2c, 3c, 4c and 5c issues which depict Canadian viewpoints of the Northern Regions, the Pacific Coast, a Prairie Scene, a Seaway View, and the Atlantic Coast. The designs for the higher denominations are central portions of works of art by famous Canadian artists. They include: 8c "Alaska Highway between Watson Lake & Nelson", by A.Y.
