Vintage Max Liebermann German Art Folio / Book
known to be acquired in Germany in the 1950's,.
Published by Seemann in Leipzig -
(circa 1920)
The booklet features 8 color sample prints of his life work,
including Women in a Canning Factory, Riders on the Beach,
orphans, children playing, and outdoors scenes.
Max Liebermann (1847-1935),
was one of Germany's most renowned cultural figures.
His dominant presence was particularly evident at the turn of the 20th century,
first with his naturalist painting of common workers,
which gained him immediate notoriety,
and soon thereafter as he introduced modern (mostly French) art to Germany.

Measures 13" tall x 10½" wide and is in very good condition for it's age.
(please note: some wear and tear along edging of outer folio)
Each print is a beautiful work of art in itself and would make a wonderful addition
to any vintage art collection or simply enjoy viewing or displaying them yourself.
I hold my breath when I flip through it; the lithographs really are beautiful and make you stare. Very nice work from this famed lithographer.
