From the Mont Royal forest, home of the ancient Hochelaga iroquoian village. ~ The flute ~ The total lenght of the flute is 26". This flute was made from a maple branch, naturally broken at one end. I burned the end to harden and emphasize it. I love the wild spirit of this one. There is 6 burned holes. The totem is tied with a deer leather strap... ~ The music ~ The flute root note is mid G. The finger holes are tuned to play the pentatonic scale mode 1 (or minor pentatonic) & 4. The sound is maple, thus sweet, delicate and clear.
