Excellent tall background plant for the perennial border.
Leaves
are light green, slightly hairy, and rounded with 3 to 7 shallow lobes.
Can reach 6 to 8 feet in height. Perfect used along fence or blank,
sunny wall.

Attractive to hummingbirds and butterflies.
*Biennial
plants grow a young plant the first season, then a much larger plant
the next season and bloom the second year. The mother plant will not
survive the following winter, however it is common for the plant to
produce several baby plants, which will grow bigger and flower the
following year, thus perpetuating the plant. Hollyhocks reseed very
easily too.
