The pipe is incredibly carved. It's 30" long and weighs between 6-8 lbs. I'm not sure what its made of but I think its ox bone, stone or meerschaum or a combination of them. The round object over the bowl is a cover and can be removed. I believe its much more impressive in person than in the pictures. There are a couple of small chips toward the front end of the pipe and on the bowl cover shown in the last 2 pictures but they don't take away at all from the overall appearance of the pipe.
