Ficus carica cultivar: Beer's Black Fig   Beer's Black Fig is a high quality fig variety.

Beers Black figs are large almost black fruit with a very deep red pulp and a distinctive, but agreeable acid flavor. Leaf: base truncate to shallowly cordate; middle lobe spatulate, side lobes latate. Probably needs heat to  develop the best flavor. Excellent fresh or dried. Well-adapted in the South and Southwest. Fairly cold hardy. They can appear in varied shades, but a deep violet to black color is most prominent. These black beauties are  prized for their fresh, juicy pulp and surgary-sweet, intense flavor. They have blackish-purple skin and dark pink flesh. Exquisite dark skinned fig with a  strawberry colored interior, Beer's Black Fig skin of the fruit often cracks when it is ripe. Beers Black Fig produces both a breba and main crop, and is considered an ever bearing variety when planted in the right  climate. The breba crop is large. The main crop is medium sized. Brebas are pyriform with a thick, tapering neck; main crop figs are spherical or pyriform to obovate, often oblique without neck.  Medium eye.
	Beer's Black Figs are medium sized with outstanding flavor. A reddish pink interior and a violet skin. Rated to zone 7. A fine, large, black fig that is a splendid performer.  The deep red flesh is sweet and has a distinct flavor.  It has a medium sized eye  and is excellent either fresh or dried.  Fairly hardy and well adapted to the South and Southwest. This requirement takes my wife and I, 2-3 days to pack items and get ready to ship. The whole next day we drive  around the island and get inspected (2-3 hours), then drive to the Airport Post Office to drop off. It takes the same work with the same type item if  you can understand.
