The story of Carla Lucius is an awe-inspiring one that has its grass roots in the midwestern city of St. Louis, Missouri. Born during the height of the civil rights movement, Carla became a child of the 70’s, woman of the 80’s and now, after surviving a whirlwind of relationships, a contemporary mentor; showing young women, through her lenses, how to maneuver around this road called life.
Beating the grueling odds of a marriage filled with control, abuse, and dabbed with hints of fortune, Carla found her inner-strength, her peace and inevitably, her way out. Facing marital situations that would send the average person into a nervous breakdown, Carla never lost her sense of humor, giving her peace in an otherwise storm.
Happily divorced, Carla now resides in a cozy St. Louis suburb enjoying her life as a mother of two, Chaun and Victoria and her new role as grandmother (MiMi) of Chaun Jr., the most recent blessing in her life. Stopping every now and then to peek at her past, Carla warmly embraces her future, through sharing her story with women of all ages as testimony of what’s possible with a sure-fire recipe of strength, faith, courage and humor.
