Up for auction is an antique National Cash Register,
collector's item, in a very good, working condition.
This is a large, solid brass, nickel-plated Empire case style, pattern crank
machine manufactured by National Cash Register Company circa 1911. Based on the Serial number, this machine was
made between 9th of October 1911 and 2nd of November
1911.
Model number 452-2C, serial number 1048623L.
The patter designed by Tiffany all around the machine. Top sign is missing. When the amount keys and the transaction
keys are pressed, and the handle turned, the register does 10 things:
1.
Removes old indication.
2. Shows
a new one.
3.
Unlocks cash drawer.
4. Throws
it open.
5. Adds
amounts on one or both of the total counters.
6. Prints
kind and amount of transaction on detail strip.
7. Prints
and throws out receipt.
8. Adds
"1" on "Customer" counter.
9. Adds
"1" on "Transaction" counter.
10.
Resets mechanism for new record.
