About MeMy goal is to meet YOUR requirements through my commitment to the quality of my services and products.I hope you enjoy viewing the collection of bears and other items that I have for sale. My husband and I started collecting antiques and vintage items years ago and it has turned into an exciting hobby. We have two dogs, wire fox terriers and so I started to collect the antique mohair terrier dogs. Needless to say, I have a rather large collection already. Since I have always been an artist in many areas and love to be creating things, I started restoring and repairing antique mohair animals. I have 30 some years experience in sewing, from clothes to quilts to crafts to dog clothes to home decorating and finally mohair animals. I take pride in my work and always do the very best to my abilities. Most of the antique and vintage bears and animals that I have for sale here have been repaired, restored, cleaned, etc. by myself. I especially like repairing the teddy bears that are desperate for surgeries, including animals that have been destroyed by customer's own pets. I decided to start making my own brand new mohair teddy bears and dogs to sell besides doing the repair and restoration work and they are called 'MUTTON HOLLOW CRITTERS'. Mutton Hollow Critters are TOTALLY HANDSEWN by myself, Linda Lamb. No sewing machine is used in the process. I use only the finest quality German and English Mohairs including Hembold and Norton. I try to replicate some of the fine bear makers' designs of many years past. My favorite bear makers are Bing, Chiltern, EDUCA-Craemer, Farnell, JoPi, and Willy Weiersmueller. I also make custom creations for customers and have even restored mohair dogs to copy the owner's dog's coat coloring & pattern. I plan to add photos from my own collection of antique terrier dogs to this page as time permits. |
