Eastport Yarns are American made, using Alpaca fiber grown on over 25 different family farms in the US. The yarn is worsted spun, meaning that the fibers are aligned by a combing process that keeps the yarn thin and sturdy. This way you can use a variety of needles and always get a great result.

Eastport Alpaca DK Weight is a beautiful, soft, sturdy and warm yarn. Eastport yarn is "home grown" with fiber coming from a collective of over 25 Americain family farms where the Alapca's are raised and the fiber harvested.

The fiber collected is then pooled and sorted to create wonderful heathered 70/30 Alpaca/Merino yarn. This yarn is worsted spun in a DK weight which can be used for many long lasting, beautiful projects.
