(BACHMAN-2012) 32” 8.5” M SEV Diploid. Always one of my favorite blues singers, Slim Harpo was known for such classics as “Tip On In”, “I’m a King Bee” and “Baby, Scratch My Back”. He was a fixture in juke joints all around Baton Rouge and Lafayette. SLIM HARPO is the shortest of this year’s offerings at 32” and it looks like one of the skinniest but does not make the 4:1 ratio requirement. The 8.5” blooms (11” wingspan)sit on 3 way branched scapes with 15 buds and are brushed copper with large gold green throat extending far out on petals. The segments recurve and twist slightly.
