|Card, Channel/Freq/Battery, BC-611 Army Radio
Card , Channel/Frequency & Battery History. Condition Reproduction. White card with black printing on styrene plastic. This is the little white card that fits in the card holder right at the bottom of the radio case. It has a space to record the frequency that the radio is tuned to and the date that the batteries were installed. The frequency was often stamped in ink whereas the date should be written in pencil. Used on all BC-611 and BC-721 Handie-Talkie Army Radios and on the Navy AMA. One card is also packed inside the BX-48 single channel coil and crystal box and twelve are on the outside of the BX-49 or BX-49-A 12-channel box.
The battery date should always be written in pencil, never ink. Most of the time, the channel frequency was also written in pencil. The only exceptions I have ever seen examples of are 3885 KC (shipped from factory) and the 12 frequencies of the standard BX-49 loadout.
