Ebay hasn't forgotten the little sellers. Ebay has indeed done more for them than ever. They started by clubbing them in the kneecaps, then they beat them to the ground, and later they pressed their faces into the mud and applied enough pressure to break our jaws. Yeah, that pretty much sums up how ebay has treated the small sellers over the past several years.

1) They raised ALL rates
2) They took away our rights to defend ourselves from dishonest buyers (Yes, sorry, they DO exist)
3) They stuck all our items at the back of the line after their precious powersellers
4) They made "best match" default, which buried any chances of a level playing field.
5) They excluded half of what we made money on (no more cable boxes, satellite receivers, certain brands electronics, firefighter lights, etc.
6) They allow their pet sellers (the ones who list thousands a week rather than a handful) to break any and all of their rules on a consistent basis with no punishment.
7) They feature only powerseller type items, advertise only power seller type items, and push only powerseller type items (Sorry ebay... The small guys made you what you are, not the powersellers)
8) They sealed the coffin with the new DSR system, which punishes sellers who charge the buyer for shipping. Free Shipping isn't free, and it should never be free. It costs to ship. Period. UPS sure isn't free. Why should we pay more fees for our shipping costs??? That's not quite fair now is it?

It appears to me that Ebay really caters to the Power Sellers and I understand that, but I would like to see some promotions that benefit the "little guy"...the ones that sell one-of-a-kind items. When Ebay started the free gallery picture, I was elated. That was short-lived, however, when I discovered the enormous FVF..up to 12% for the things I sell. I have never tried the 1 or 3 day auctions mostly because I can't seem to find what the listing fee is for this amount of time, so I don't know if it would be profitable for me to try this feature. I used to list my items for the 10 day period so that I could wrap my auctions around 2 weekends. Ebay raised the listing fee on the 10 day to a price that is not beneficial for me, so I settled for the 7 day auction. As far as what Ebay was highlighting, I have never paid any attention to that because it never applied to me and the things that I sell. I truly believe that Ebay has forgotten the small, low budget seller, and it's sad.
