STEP 1: Choose a site Back to the top
When you first start Sales Manager Pro, a new, empty batch window is open. A batch is simply a group of listings you want to submit using Vendio. You are asked to choose a site for the first listing in the new batch. Since each site is different, the site you choose determines the questions you will be asked to create the listing.

In order to create your listing on a site, you must have a valid username and password for that site. You have to have this username and password in your Vendio preferences so the listings you upload can be submitted to those sites.

STEP 2: Enter listing information Back to the top
The Basic Information screen is where you enter a headline for the listing, a description, and images. To add an image to your listing, click on the image in the image bar at the bottom of the screen. Drag the image from the image bar to the Images section of the Basic Information screen. If you don't have any images in the Image Bar, you probably haven't downloaded your images from Vendio. To download your images, click Upload. The image will be included in your listing, but will not be removed from the image bar, so you can use it as many times as you like. You can add as many images as you need by dragging and dropping this way.

The second tab is for information needed by the specific site you chose. Click on this tab to enter the site-specific information such as payment options and shipping terms. If you set preferences at Vendio, you will see these filled in for your item. Required fields are labeled in red.

STEP 3: Preview the listing Back to the top
When you're done entering information for your listing, click the third tab, Preview, to see what your listing will look like on the site. You can go back and change the listing information and these changes are reflected immediately in the Preview window.

STEP 4: Enter more listings Back to the top
Enter as many listings as you like to complete the batch. When you're done, save the batch by choosing File | Save Batch. It's a good idea to include the date in the name. For example, you might use CDs41500 for a batch of CDs submitted on April 15th.

STEP 5: Upload the batch Back to the top
Click Upload Batch/AuctionSyncTM. You will be asked which batches you wish to upload. Select as many batches as you like. While Sales Manager Pro uploads your batches, it will also download any changes you have made on Vendio, such as adding or deleting images or changing passwords or preferences. Sales Manager Pro also uploads any images you have imported into Sales Manager Pro. For more information on importing images, see How to import images.

STEP 6: Check your listings Back to the top
Once your listings have been uploaded, you can check their status by going online. The upload process is complete and you don't need to do anything online. But if you'd like to check, you can go to Vendio. Review your auctions using our online Sales Manager.

Use the inventory Back to the top
You can use the inventory feature to keep a record of your auctions. To open the inventory, click the View Inventory List button on the Toolbar.

The inventory window looks very similar to the batch window. However, while you can create as many batches as you like, you have only one inventory. You enter listings into the inventory much the same as you enter listings in a batch. You click New Item in the lower right of the window and enter the details. You can add an inventory listing to a batch by dragging it from the inventory to a batch window.

You will notice that dragging a listing from the inventory into a batch doesn't cause it to be removed from the inventory. It stays in the inventory so you can have a record of it, and you can edit that record to show when it was sold, the price and other details.

Change username & Password Back to the top
If you've changed your username or password online, you'll have to update Sales Manager Pro, too. To change your username and password in Sales Manager Pro, choose View > Preferences. A dialog will appear. Here, you can change your Vendio user name and password.

Importing images Back to the top
If you have images already stored on your computer, you can import them into Sales Manager Pro. To import images, open your image bar by selecting View | Image Bar. You will see your images that Sales Manager Pro downloaded from Vendio. To import an image from your computer into Sales Manager Pro, click the add image icon located on the Image Bar. Browse to the directory and the image file. Click Open to import it.

You can import images into Sales Manager Pro, but you can only delete images from Vendio online. Once you've deleted it online, your next upload will remove the deleted images from Sales Manager Pro. This upload will also cause any images you added online to also appear in Sales Manager Pro.

Organizing images using folders Back to the top
All your images will be automatically placed into a folder named Default. You have the option of creating new image folders by selecting the button. You can organize your images by "drag and dropping" them into your newly created folders. Create as many folders as you wish to organize your photos. To quickly view all the images contained within a folder, highlight the folder by clicking on it with your mouse.

Rename your image folders by highlighting a folder and select the button. Delete image folders by selecting the button. You must empty the contents of an image folder before you can delete it and you will not be able to delete the Default folder. Images will be alphabetically organized within each folder.

Changing the image bar display Back to the top
The image bar gives the user the ability to select his favorite display. Select the button to view thumbnail images. In this view, you can use the scroll bar to quickly sift through all of your images.

Select the button to view the image titles, image file size and image dimensions. Use the scroll bar to quickly sift through all of your images.

While using the thumbnail display or image title display, you can double click on the thumbnail or image title to view an enlarged version of the image. You can also select the button to view the enlarged version of the highlighted image.

The vast majority of users will not need to worry about proxy settings. In the unlikely case that your Internet Service Provider (ISP) requires you to use a proxy, this is where you set those values. Your ISP will be able to tell you what these settings should be and if you need them.
