You never know james......maybe jlp is on to something and we've all been shafted by this "numbers game". I think the Illuminati is behind this.....

I'm still right, so there.

These messages that make me wonder if I'm challenging facts my wife is presenting online are disturbing.

Uaru? JL is your wife? I am soooo confused!

Yes, Kraftdinner! That MUST be it! The Illuminati is behind all of this!

Gee uaru, I didn't know jlp was your wife.....you must REALLY have your hands full with jl & the teething baby (you could have told us earlier....)

rawbunz, you probably had it figured out long before I posted, or worse, maybe I'm the last to figure it out??.....

Actually uaru, this is the funniest thing I've heard all day!

How many other alter egos(husband/wife) combos are lurking here? Like in "You've Got Mail", I always thought it to be funny that two people who know each other could be posting somewhere in the same thread under anonymous names and perhaps even debating each other.

This from the genius that swore Bill Clinton was not impeached. Need I post the link?

I forgot the rules here though. If enough posters want it to be true, it is.

jl, whether somebody else is or was wrong about something else entirely has no bearing on the fact that you're dead wrong about the topic at hand, and apparently unable to admit it. It's inconvenient at times, but reality works that way.

jlp -"I forgot the rules here though. If enough posters want it to be true, it is."

Which part jlp? You being uaru's wife or the gas thing?

Come on, Sara. You know you're just as interested in the juicy stuff as the rest of us.

I don't know if anyone else notices this but it is pretty difficult to address a non topic so how can we be called on to do so? Kraft, your point is humorous and well taken at least by me!

Let me be of help:

The Topic I believe was a question about the 9/10 being for gas or the price of gas.

Gasoline that is

And, the only 'juicy stuff' I'm interested in is apple or grape juice

rainybear:

9/10 of a gallon.

You're not buying a gallon, you're buying 9/10 for the price you see posted.

jlpiece:

THANK YOU Rainybear, that is correct! You are buying 9/10th of a gallon of gas.

Today's gas purchase:

Posted price: $1.679
Sales Total: $12.49

At $1.679 for 9/10th of a gallon, the price per gallon would be $1.865 ($1.679 / 9) * 10, and the amount of gas received would be 6.697 gallons ($12.49 / $1.865)

or...

At $1.679 for 1 gallon, the amount of gas received would be 7.439 gallons ($12.49 / $1.679)

And what amount does the receipt actually indicate was pumped?

7.439 gallons

Conclusion: You're buying a gallon for the price you see posted. But I'm sure you already knew this.
