I used to take Apricot Brandy for medicinal purposes....boy was that potent stuff. Didn't really cure anything but ya didn't care after a little drinky!
I hope yours works...how long have you had this "COLD"? I get the feeling it is more than just a cold!
Sorry to disappoint but "Morning Delight" would be a warm person to snuggle with to help me get back to sleep. I am one of those folks who really needs 8 hours in order to function for the day.
Well, I am going to slip the kitty some crunchies to keep him happy and try for another hour or so. Hugs to ya'll.

Yep you are right, it is a bit more than just a cold, but I will not go into details right now. I will just say that even though I am supposed to be sick, I really do not feel ill, the worst part for me is the voice bit and the doctor says if I am a good girl it should come back in the next week or so. I actually do have a bit of a voice but after a couple of words it is gone again.
One of my buyers lives only 2 suburbs away from me and she asked if we could meet somewhere so that she could collect her purchase. Well that would be no problem normally but with the weather I did not want to risk going out in the rain, so I had to ring her and my voice kept giving on me. She was great though and we arranged for my son to drop the china off to her, which he did this afternoon. I miss being able to talk normally to people, and if one more male person tells me to speak up, I will dong them over the head with whatever is handy.

Goodnight again Zilvy.
I don't know how much longer I'll hold out. My new medicine seems to be making me very droopy all of a sudden. Anyone ever hear of Zanaflex?

Night Zilvy
No sorry Mouse it is not one I have heard of, but that does not really mean anything because I think some of our drugs have different names to some of yours.
The only real names of drugs that I know of anyway are the ones my daughter takes (or is supposed to take) for her kidney condition. At present she is rebelling against taking her medication, it makes her feel different to everyone else. I do understand how she feels, but I really wish she would just take the stuff it stops her getting sick all the time. I suppose at 18 I would have hated it as well, so I can not come down too hard on her, and the doctors understand as well, they told me it is very common for this to happen with teenagers.

I'm sure it does make her feel that way and feel different than everyone else. Sometimes they just have to grow, make themselves sick a time or two and learn for themselves before they take care of it. She'll learn.

The trouble with that Mouse is that if she is not with someone who knows how fast she can go downhill healthwise, she could go into total renal failure in a very short space of time, and I do not ever want that to happen. So she may not have a chance to learn by getting sick a time or two, because she may not survive the first bout of illness. It is hard to get it through her head though, and I guess it is just that I remember things that she doesn't and I never want to have to experience some of those things with her again. EVER.

I am getting tired so I think I will have to call it a night very soon. What happened to Pharlap, she has gone very quiet all of a sudden.
Pharlap where are you.

Ok, quit reading my mind! I was just thinking the same two things, LOL. I can't keep my eyes open anymore. Of course I did get up early (for me anyway) today and then go run around in the heat all day. That sure zaps your energy faster than anything.
So I'm going to have to say goonight. See you all tomorrow I hope!

Mouse - I would cash that baby - not deposit it - surely not in the same bank. If they want it back I would tell them it will cost more in legal fees than the cost of the check. Neither of you are working - let them attach your wages!
EBay once said my credit balance was $1,875,013.00. Do you think they would cut me check? Nooo....
You could at least go LOOK at the islands.

Gravid, too late as I have direct deposit so it's already in my account. Looking at the islands sounds wonderful! Mind you I would have to take my growing pharmacy along just to be able to enjoy it at all.
I got my release papers to sign today. In order for me to get another 2.5 weeks of pay (LOL right now, eh? ) and 2 more months of medical at employee cost, I have to sign this thing saying I won't go after them. Needless to say I'm not signing anything until I've talked to a lawyer first. I have 49 days to get it signed, so plenty of time.
Pogo is almost done with her meds and is perking up more everyday. Our cat food is in a cat carrier, with the door removed, on the floor so the cats have easy access but the dog can't get to it. Tonight after hubby filled up the bowl and they were taking their turns, she was up on top of the carrier playing with everyone's tails while they were eating. Silly girl!
KD is already growing quite a tummy. Either she's got like 10 kittens in there or she's eating just a bit much! Maybe it's just me, but I swear she gets bigger everyday and it's a bit early for that yet...

Maybe the islands should see the money before they see you. The bank will just reverse the transaction probably with a big corperation on the other side. I have had that happen - a medical supplier took money out of my account without any couirt order or legal action. Just on their say so.
I went in Saturday and got $6,500 cash and you would have thought I was a criminal for wanting money. They took our fingerprints and driver's license - another form of ID and wrote it all on the check and called the issuer to make sure it was OK. Had to call another teller to check the count - took about 15 minutes to cash a check.

Personally I think Bob's Outhouse sounds just fine. LOL hahahaha Or you could just call it the Outback Dunny Holdings, now that would be a sweet smelling account.
Now Bob even with a voice, you know I could never say no to you. Boy I wish I had a smilie that could bat it's eyelashes. LOL

My Mother always said I could fall in the crapper and come up with pearls in my teeth - but Bob's House of Deposits sounds even better if I can come up with CASH. And boy would it need laundered! I have been up in the hills where they still have those little houses and don't care for them. I have gone out to find snakes and other things sharing them.

Wow thanks Mouse.
Oh Bob you sweet smellin' thang you.
Gravid your mother sure did have a way with words. Believe me when I say you would not want to fall into an Outback Dunny, you would have a long haul back to the top. A lot of the outhouses are built over pits so that they do not have to be emptied and they go a long long way down. Gives me the creeps just thinking about it. YUK!!
Well it is 1:30 am in my part of the world and time for me to go to bed I think. So I will see you all later. Goodnight.

So, I just wanted to stop by to tell you all I miss you. What did you think of the acrobatic cat I sent in email? I figured Mouseslayer would definitely be impressed and hoped the rest of you would get a kick out of it! TTL {{{to all}}}

Hello Pharlap, yes I did receive you email with your new addy, sorry I am very slack, but I am obviously not the only slack one around here because it sounds like none of us replied. Anyway I sent you an email tonight, so hopefully you can see if your new email works.
Zilvy that was a cute little email you sent, and yes even though I will admit I am not a big cat person, I did think it was a cutie.
Sorry we missed you tonight. {{{{{Hugs back to you}}}}}
Bob and Pharlap did you see who kicked the bucket over in Spain today?

Actually that is what some of his victums said on the news tonight as well.
Pharlap did you see that terrible smash down your way yesterday. I feel so badly for everyone involved. The young girl that was driving is only 18 and god I hope she is not charged, because she will have to live with this for the rest of her life as it is and I really think that is more than enough for anyone her age to have to contend with.
Don't get me wrong, I really feel for the parents of those children as well, but nothing is going to bring that little girl back. The driver said right from the start that a truck clipped the rear of her car and that is what sent her flying onto the footpath and into all of those poor people.
It is just such a sad and tragic thing to have happened.

Yes there were nine or ten injured and taken to hospital. All of the children, I think there were 4 little ones', were flown up here to the Mater Childrens and they are all critical. The one little 9 year old girl died just after they arrived at the hospital. All the adults are in the Gold Coast hospital. It is a very tragic situation for all. The young driver is still in shock and the police have not been able to get a full statement from her yet.
